Once he uses the Tiger Bomb again, he'll be back to having 100% of wrestling fans in his corner.

I keep hearing that he takes his gimmick a little too seriously in real life. Which I don't know about, but take twitter for example, for a guy who owes everything to fans, is he really quite so gracious to them for literally saving his career? Nope, still a recluse towards the little people. Even when he wasn't super-popular, you had to wear his shirt for him to even RT you. Pretty classic example of the hipster dilemma. People didn't like him because he was a stellar guy, people liked him because he was underground and underrated. Well now that he's commercialized and pushed, he's not underground or underrated anymore, and he's still not a stellar guy, so where's the appeal of him as a person, not just as a performer? Oh boo hoo... My tweets weren't retweeted... How will ever I go on? He probably gets hundreds of them a day. He's a professional wrestler, not a professional Tweetmaster. Nowadays, what's the difference?

He's had a unique rise to prominence, but I doubt WWE ignored his show for as long as some people imagine.
And that's not even why I'm a fan. I like him because he's good in the ring, a decent talker and there's something very "Rock'n Wrestling" about his gimmick that's refreshing amongst all of the angry black trunks guys running around wrestling (I don't count Orton as he's too distinct in his own right).

I've never been a huge fan of Ryder, but I've never respected someone so much in the WWE for getting themselves over.
I mean, I used to HATE this guy. Seemed the second he debuted his new gimmick, people on here just showered praise on him all the time. I didn't get it. His matches with Christian on WWECW helped in me at least admitting he was good in the ring, and his youtube shows showed me he had charisma, and was genuinely trying to get noticed.
So I'm happy he made it, if only for the fact that it lets other guys in the WWE who may now view their position on the card as 'undesirable' actually go an do something for themselves in the hope they follow Ryder.

Only thing I'm not crazy about is the crowd being called upon to do that "WOO! WOO! WOO!" chant like 35 times a show (feels like it anyway)

I realize they're shoving him in our faces a bit, but I still like him. I've been a fan since I started watching, me and my friends dressed as part of the Zack Pack (complete with WWWYKI cut out letters) for a show before doing that was cool, we did the whole t-shirt/twitter thing, and have had a blast watching his rise to the top. I can't hate on what they're doing with him because, in a way, this is what we wanted to see happen. We wanted him at the top, or at least at the midcard, and this seems to be what WWE does with their top faces.

I'm not sure what you mean by you don't buy him as a wrestler. It's not like he only recently started wrestling matches. For the same reason some people can't buy into the Miz being a badass. I don't see Ryder as a threat to anyone. I find his move set weak. His finisher although better than the worm or santino's snake hand, I still don't see how it could be effective.. I thought it was great they were giving the guy a push at first, but in my opinion he doesn't deserve to carry the US title at all. If there was like a WCW TV title maybe. I know he pretty much made his Character, but its annoying. Almost like Jimmy Hart annoying I don't care if Cena or CM Punk see something in him. Was Kurt Angle a badass in 1999-2000? NO! He was a whiny little comedy act like Santino. Just because he isn't a badass now doesn't mean he'll never be a badass.

Man (CULT HIT THING) sure is cool, I wish more people were into it and it was more mainstream.
Oh Jeez (NOW MAINSTREAM HIT THING) is too overexposed, forget this.

I feel weird in that I couldn't stand him in ECW and only started liking him when he was Teddy Long's assistant on Smackdown until now. I know that sounds like bandwagon jumping but it isn't, it just took a while for me to "get" Zack Ryder, but now I do.

Zack himself should find a way to get this chant started, but only for something suitably ridiculous. "Rebecca Black became far too commercial"

It goes from "Would it be too much to show this some respect?" to "My gosh, they act like it can do no wrong." And generally, when commercial meddling happens, the person in question becomes a whole lot less interesting. See: Punk going buddy-buddy with Trippatrips.

Im hating the shoving it down our throats thing WWE tends to do with so much stuff and I hate his crotch to the face finisher(I know its supposed to be a leg lariat, but it looks like balls to the face 3/4ts of the time where it should hurt Ryder a lot more than the opponent who should only feel disgusted in a stink face kind of way), however I really like the guy.

I think he's a pretty good wrestler personally. But again they have now made him a "5 moves of doom" kinda guy, so he can't really do that much. He had some awesome matches on ECW where he was busting out all kinds of stuff, i.e. the infamous Tiger Bomb on Christian that he hasn't done since for some reason. That 'infamous' Tiger Bomb is probably the most overrated singular use of a move in the history of wrestling. If you say Ryder's not that good, expect "he used a Tiger Bomb on Christian 2 years ago on ECW" as part of the reply. SO!?
