What do you think? Who was the bigger star between these two?

Goldberg, but only because he was around during a boom period.

I honestly think John Cena is.
Because even though Goldberg was on top in WCW for a short time in a boom period, Cena has been on top for a much longer amount of time.
Even in a down period, several cycles of fans have come and gone during Cena's reign as a top guy which makes him well-known to more people (or the very least, the same amount).

LOL compare the rating of Goldberg vs Hogan to that of any Cena match.

Goldberg was big when he also had direct competition in guys like Rock and Austin. Cena's big in a time where there is no competition.
This isn't exactly an easy comparison to make just based on that.

LOL compare the rating of Goldberg vs Hogan to that of any Cena match. Like I said, that was a boom period. It's unfair to compare ratings from then and now.

The Marine and 12 Rounds > Santa's Slay. Cena in a landslide.
I legit do think that Cena is the bigger star though.

It's really tough to compare two people from different eras like this. Goldberg was the bigger wrestling star, I'd say. Cena, on the other hand, is the bigger mainstream star.

Goldberg by a longshot. And not only was he a bigger star, he was one during a time when he had some bigtime competition. Send Cena in a time machine back to the Monday Night Wars days, and I doubt he'd even make it out of the midcards.

Hell, rapper Cena would have been huge.

Consistently, probably Cena. But Goldberg peaked higher.

How can you guys honestly say that Goldberg is a bigger star than Cena? Cena's had a rap album (that was actually Pretty good BTW) and a couple of decent movies. Goldberg had what, "The Streak"? After he lost he pretty much became a WcW footnote that was so bad even his heel character was crap. It was so bad they tried to redo the streak again!
Cena: Wrestling, Decent Movies, Music Goldberg: Wrestling, Bad Movies

I'm saying I don't see him being a main eventer with the talent they had at the time. You mean if Current Cena was dropped in the attitude era? I'm not getting it. He would have still been a main eventer, just a different character because of the era. All those attitude era guys are the same guys he had to hang with when he moved up the card.

LOL compare the rating of Goldberg vs Hogan to that of any Cena match. Yes, let's compare a boom period vs a non-boom period.
