I didn't remember how Bradshaw turned into JBL, so I youtubed his debut promo.
Here's a recap.
1. APA have a tag title shot. Nothing out of the ordinary. 2. John Cena embarasses Paul Heyman in a segment. 3. Heyman, embarassed and angry, is walking backstage when Simmons makes a smart comment about the Cena/Heyman segment. 4. Heyman then makes the Tag title match have the stip that if APA lose, they get fired. 5. APA lose, Heyman clarifies that Simmons is fired, and Bradshaw should think about his career. 6. JBL.
Mind Blown. This is similar to CM Punk cheating so OtungaCutty could beat Show/Kane, which led to Show being pissed at ADR and his car, which led to Show getting ran over, which led to Show coming back and tearing up everything in his way, including Mark Henry which led to HALL OF PAIN.
Post more epic chain reactions. I'm sure Kane has plenty.

I don't want to go into the full, kanefusing story but the whole Kane/Lita story resulted in the psychotic rapist turning into a babyface.

I thought APA broke up because Bradshaw was caring more about wall street stuff and fox news interviews...

I thought APA broke up because Bradshaw was caring more about wall street stuff and fox news interviews... On-screen it was Hayman firing Farooqe. Bradshaw was a beer-drinking Texan one week and then a rich New Yorker the next.

I thought APA broke up because Bradshaw was caring more about wall street stuff and fox news interviews... Heyman fired Simmons and told Bradshaw he could do better. Simmons thought Bradshaw would leave with him, but JBL ditched him because he had too much going on, and he couldn't leave WWE because of his stupid comments to Heyman.

Well, it wouldn't have mattered if the APA could have beat Scotty and Rikishi for the tag titles that night.
That's always what bugged me about JBL's push. He somehow became a main-event caliber superstar despite not being able to beat Scotty 2 Hotty and Rikishi the week before.

Now they have lengthy 20-30 minute matches. S*** happens.

But not too long ago I rewatched his JBL debut promo and he did have a really good line about never fully dedicating himself to being a success in wrestling, and that now he was going to. It does kinda make sense that he was suddenly so good because he finally forgot about the beer drinking and poker.

How's this...
Bret Hart winning the IC Title made Flair win the WCW title from Vader. Bret wins title Perfect was "injured" by Bret so he had to take time off. Perfect manager for Flair. Perfect turns face. Perfect beats Flair in loser leaves WWF match. Flair returns to WCW, wins title.

I just remembered an obvious one:
-Ric Flair says he will "never retire" -McMahon says that the next time Ric loses a match, he has to retire from the ring. -Eventually we reach Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XXIV. HBK wins, thus "retiring" Flair. -Batista is angry that Shawn retired Flair and so the two start a feud. -Chris Jericho gets involved in the feud, antagonizing both of them and making the rivalry worse. -Jericho accuses Shawn of faking an injury he suffered at the hands of Batista. Now the two are feuding. -Jericho starts calling Shawn a hypocrite and a liar, later saying the same thing about the fans. -Chris Jericho turns fully heel and in the process pulls a complete 180 on his character.
So because Ric Flair said he will never retire, Jericho turned super-SRS.

- John Cena beats Miz for the WWE Championship - Miz blames the loss on Alex Riley. The Twin Bromance Explodes - Riley defeats Miz at Capitol Punishment. - Riley moves on to Dolph Ziggler, calling him out and challenging him to break free of Vickie the same way that he broke away from the Miz. - Jack Swagger starts sniffing around trying to get Vickie's managerial Services as well, much to Ziggler's chagrin. - Riley has Ziggler & Swagger's collective numbers and the two of them are forced to put their differences aside and form a tag team in order to beat Riley. - With assistance from Hugh Jackman and Mason Ryan, Zack Ryder manages to overcome Vickie's new stable and get multiple pinfall victories over Ziggler earning multiple opportunities at the United States Championship. - John Cena is enthralled by Ryder's hard work and determination, and sacrifices a chance at the WWE Championship because he wants to see Ryder succeed. - Zack Ryder is the new United States Champion.
So Ryder became the U.S. Champion because of Miz losing to Cena and breaking up with Riley.

It does kinda make sense that he was suddenly so good because he finally forgot about the beer drinking and poker. I've heard it said that it wasn't explained how he suddenly became JBL, but it totally was. Bradshaw's financial book came out while he was still in the APA, and he had done guest commentary on FOX News, facts which were pointed out by Paul Heyman after he fired Farooq. He was like "I see of a lot of potential in you though" and went on to explain, and the implication was consistent with the promo that firmly established him as JBL. If you go back and watch, it all made perfect sense. It was good storytelling. As for how he could now suddenly hang with main eventers, according to the story he really couldn't. There were so many times he would have lost the title if not for some sort of interference.

- John Cena no-sells being fired and then proceeds to systematically destroy the Barrett-era Nexus - Punk then takes over the group and targets Cena - Punk becomes the #1 contender and keeps Cena on his radar, mentioning John Laurinaitis during his Vegas pipebomb - In response, Laurinaitis debuts on WWE television - Laurinaitis gradually gathers power, even becoming GM of both brands - Laurinaitis then hires David Otunga as his go-to-guy, who then proceeds to come into his own
In conclusion, Cena no-selling the firing made Otunga more entertaining than ever.

-In late 1983, Arnold Skaaland throws the towel in when the Iron Sheik has Bob Backlund trapped in the camel clutch -More than 10 years later, Backlund returns and "snaps" over the towel-throwing incident. -Backlund defeats Bret Hart in a "throw the towel" match for the WWF Title. -With Hart injured in kayfabe, Backlund drops the WWF Title three days later to a surprise challenger, Diesel. -In real life, Diesel's ascension to the title is the first huge step in The Clique's rise to power. -Years later, the Clique's backstage power leads to a massive hatred between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart -The tension eventually leads Bret Hart to sign a contract with WCW and get screwed over by Vince McMahon.
The true architect of the Montreal Screwjob? "Golden Boy" Arnold Skaaland.

- Vince McMahon sells Raw to Donald Trump - Donald Trump decides that he's going have a new Guest Host for Raw every single week - Eventually Jesse Ventura is the Guest Host and creates a breakthrough battle royal which Sheamus wins. - Sheamus wins the WWE Championship after Cena "slips" through the table - The win propels Sheamus into the upper-midcard/main event in 2010-2011 - Sheamus wins the Royal Rumble and beats Daniel Bryan in 18 Seconds - The support for Daniel Bryan and his YES! catapults him into the spotlight against CM Punk - AJ goes crazy - Daniel Bryan realizes he loves AJ and they decide to get married.
So Daniel Bryan and AJ are going to get married, because of Donald Trump.

I don't know what Bret Hart would have to do with it, but while Flair did indeed win the WCW title from Vader, it happened almost a year after he left the WWF and returned to WCW.

Vince's WWF team beats the Alliance at Survivor Series. Vince now owns WWF, WCW, and ECW fully. Fires Shane, Stephanie, and Heyman. Almost crowns Kurt the WWF Championship. Ric Flair returns as the 50% owner of the WWF after he bought some stocks. Vince and Flair don't get along. Flair punches Vince and Vince goes insane. Vince promises a lethal dose of posion on his creation. Brings the nWo.

Mysterio beats Punk & shaves his head. Punk hides baldness with mask, get beat up by Big Show who he feuds with & eventually is unmasked by. Causes dissension in SES, leaving Punk to walk out on them in handicap match. Punk gets traded to RAW, injures Bourne, needs new cronies. New Nexus. Beats Mysterio (Finally for contendership for WWE championship) Pipebomb!
So, as much as everyone hates Rey-Rey, if it wasn't for him bullying Punk, we probably never would've had the pipebomb! <___<
