She was very good. As usual She doesn't really do anything for me looks wise, never has, but she looked super cute in her little suit too.

Only complaint is man. People rag on RYDER for being a bad actor. She needs to work on her line delivery. Same thing could be said for almost everyone in WWE I don't mean to burst the bubble of people who think AJ is bad at acting, but practically everyone in WWE is a bad actor. That's true, most are. But that doesn't make her not suck.

Depends on what you mean by "hater." I think her crazy overexposed character sucked. But if she's not crazy and doesn't weigh the show down then heck no, I'm not gonna complain about her. Her crazy character got her over. It marked her out as distinct from the rest of the Divas. WWE should be praised for actually pushing a Diva beyond two minutes matches and pointless title reigns. Her crazy character was just a stock character of skipping and strange phrases. As much as the "Manipulative bitch" character gets ragged on, it only gets over if the diva playing it is good at acting. But if playing that stock character was the only reason she was over, then they need to go back to the drawing board and have her brush up on her stuffs.

Honestly, I think WWE could have done more with her there. She was playing it a bit too straight most of the night, but I enjoyed the end with her making kawaii faces at angry Punk. Ladies and gentlemen, from the home office in Wahoo Nebraska, the top 10 words you'd never expect to hear in regards to professional wrestling--

This goes to the "Tropes Are Not Bad" example. Stock characters work because they are tried and tested and they tend to work. And again, the "AJ is a bad actor" argument just doesn't hold water in a company where the entire roster is hardly up to Meryl Streep levels of talent.

Become GM, get a last name.
Conversely:
Get a last name, everyone likes you again.

AJ got over because she was given a ball and ran with it. She played the unpredictable psycho to a tee, and did everything that was required of her just fine. And she has more physical charisma than anyone else in the Divas division minus Vickie. Her body language, facial expressions, and so on go a LONG way and people are understating their importance in presenting a character.
It's amazing how people do mental gymnastics to discredit her. She got put in a storyline, got over, and was then given a bigger storyline with a bigger spotlight because of it, where she preceded to get more over. She earned what she has.
And her delivery was perfectly fine tonight. Nothing special, but nothing bad, either.

She needs to wear glasses! I don't care if there's no lenses in the frames or they have one of those novelty oversized noses and hairy eyebrows attached to the frame. She just needs a pair of glasses.

It goes to show that you can still get yourself over. But it also proves why they've stopped so many trying to do that. Because no matter what you do, some people will rag on you because you're not who they wanted to see get pushed. The girl is a lifelong wrestling fan. She got her break in the big time and she knocked it out of the park first chance she got. She deserves every bit of the spotlight and criticism of that whilst acceptable, is still sour grapes.

She just needs a pair of glasses. She was wearing them in that one segment with Bryan, but she took them off as he entered. I, too, was disappointed.

No, tropes are NOT bad, and the manipulative bitch is a trope in and of itself. What I'm saying though is that she's playing a role that does not require any substantial level of talent, which opens up the question as to her depth as a performer. Though from what I remember, she plays the manipulative role pretty well, so that'd be right up her alley. And I do suspect that's what they're doing with her.

Didn't like her delivery or her overly excessive head tilts. I liked Johnny, he was bad in a funny way (same reason I liked Adamle). AJ in my opinion is just bad in a compulsory drama class scene which no one wanted to do or rehearse kinda way.

I can understand not being a fan.
But it is absolutely ridiculous to act like she is where she is through no merit of her own. She is in a spotlight because she got over. Because she was given a chance and didn't drop the ball with it.
At least this thread hasn't had people accusing her of blowing Vince yet.
