Exaggerated mannerisms are par for the course in wrestling. Subtley is unlikely to be even noticed by an arena audience. You have to exaggerate in order for them to see it.

I didn't like it; as I've said before in this thread. I didn't like her delivery, I don't like her acting, her voice or her exaggerated mannerisms. But, that is just my opinion and I get that lots of people will like it, and that's fine. Good for them for enjoying RAW a little bit more than I have. What I really don't like (and forgive me if I'm missing the point here, just how I'm interpretating this thread at times) is that if you don't like it, apparently you have sour grapes or an inferiority complex or are just an idiot for not seeing the 'greatness'. I didn't like it, other people didn't like it. Some people didn't like it. No one is 'right'. I think some people are forgetting that. When you have certain posters make crap up to support their opinion, try and turn every thread into an AJ hate thread no matter the subject and then blame her fans for overexposing her to people when it's the exact opposite it causes some issues between the fans and non-fans.

I think people need to chill out if they don't like how a wrestler is being criticized. People aren't attacking her as a person, they just don't like her character or her writing. I'm one of those people for the latter. I was actually psyched for her debut back when she was in FCW but I feel like they've done a pretty inept job writing for their women in general. AJ is one of those women, no question.

If people would only talk about the booking or her wrestling in threads that were about her that would be one thing but instead quite a few have gone far beyond that.

I liked her more at the beginning of the AJ/Kane/Bryan/Punk thing where it started to get interesting. Then the went overboard with her crazy character putting her in far too many segments. Now she's Skirt Tiffany.
So it went cool! ugh! meh.

This is as good of a place as any to ask this, but what in the world does Skirt Tiffany even mean?

This is as good of a place as any to ask this, but what in the world does Skirt Tiffany even mean? That Tiffany consistently skirted the line between being okay at her job and acting downright incompetent. Its a subtle insult. (Or a really stupid attempt at insulting nickname)

This is as good of a place as any to ask this, but what in the world does Skirt Tiffany even mean? That idiot Teddy Long told Layla that she'd be defending her hard won women's title against Tiffany. Incredulous, Layla and Michelle replied, " Skirt Tiffany?" www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzauhWmBjKY

Who the hell is Tif...wait, you mean Tiffany, the girl who wrestles in a skirt?" The insult isn't the name itself, but the "Who? Oh, you mean.." dismissive attitude.

I liked the old AJ better, but I'm giving this an honest chance.

She's just such a bad actress. I was there live, and her voice is just so awful live.
And moving your neck isn't showing emotion. Maybe it's not her, but her character is awful

Pretty boring if you ask me. The GM character is played out.

Yeah but people are actually attacking her as a person, which is what I called folk out on. I get that she's not everyone's cup of tea, and I'm a huge supporter of other people having an opinion. But it went from her "ruining the WWE title scene" or "taking away from the main eventers" all the way to "she's a terrible actress" or "she doesn't deserve this, what has she done?". The first was a comment about how they felt about her role in the WWE title match, which whilst I disagreed with that view it was totally justified. But it occurred to me that when those same people couldn't find anything about her character to rag on; they immediately turn to insulting the person rather than the character. It is my opinion that some (and just some) are upset she was pushed rather than their preferred diva. Those same people also find it hard to admit that she got herself over with the crowd. Now let me clarify that she is NOT immune from criticism, and there are things about her that I felt could have been better or changed. But when looking at the role she's been given to play and how she's gone about that; she deserves it all because she has swung and hit a huge home run with it.
