I always used to tape over other programs, even if it wasn't for very long. Luckily I never taped that much, but when I did typically it was a disaster. Like when I accidentally taped over one of my Dad's NWA tapes with some cartoons, I found that out while watching it recently. Oh man, i hear that. I recently watched an old tape of mine, which I used in 1995 to record random shows I liked, but by 1996, it was being used for music videos. In between those music videos, I could see a second of the old shows, and watching the tape back recently I thought "wow, I would really like to watch that." Some of the shows are hard to find, like there was this show called Monster Wars, a monster truck racing show that gave some of the trucks a wrestling type character used only for promos. I loved the show and I regret taping over it, because you can't find too many of the episodes online.

I was going to make a thread about the greatness of your avatar and how that was the greatest achievement to be seen on national TV since the invention of television... and then I saw THIS post.

the Scott Lobdell era of the X-Men
'90s hair - only the '70s were a worse decade for hairstyles
Cow & Chicken
And I'll second some that were already mentioned:
VHS - once I got my first DVD player, I never looked back
grunge - especially Nirvana, the most grossly overrated band of the 20th century, IMO
'90s WWF - especially the Attitude Era - during the Monday Night Wars, WWF to me was just something to watch while WCW was taking a commercial break
I didn't mind the Clone Saga so much until they brought Norman Osborn back from the dead at the end of it. And the John Byrne era that came soon afterward drove me away from Spider-Man for good.

Count me in on the 'f*** Dial-up' bandwagon. Having to wait 40 minutes to 2 hours to watch a 3 minute video? Yeah...no thanks.
I'm also not a fan of a lot of those crazy design hats and t-shirts that were all the rage with sports teams back then.

Crappy video game cartoons from DiC.
Sonic SATAM was okay, though.

Dial-up. The technology behind it seems so ancient and archaic now, I wonder how I ever coped!

I cant remember if this late 90s or early 2000s but the mutli colored Yankee jerseys and hats. I know Fred Durst was wearing the red one in the early 2000s but I think the popularity of the yellow, lime green and other colors was before that.

You damn kids. I remember not having anything called the "Enternet" in my day as a lad.
Actually having the net to begin with was awesome, but god did dial-up ever get old fast. My uncle stayed with it until about 2005 and it was the worst thing ever. This page would take forever to load.
Now if takes more than a few seconds for a page to load I freak out. Years ago I would have been amazed.
