Wait...
The Kurt Character is Gay? I...Wow...
I would have never guessd that from any of the episodes. I thought he was just a confirmed bachelor. But Gay?

They ruin classic songs and I am not a part of the music/drama club, so I cannot relate to this show.

Not a really big fan of Blur, the Gorrilaz or Damon himself, but my God is he right on the money here.

From what I hear, it caught Heroes disease. Where a show that is popular in the first season starts burning through plot lines like coal in a steam train race, throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks and changing characters on a whim to fit whatever storyline is happening that week. Ahhh yes. Heroes disease. Or as I call it we only wrote 1 1/2 seasons the rest we don't know..... Oh we are a hit? We are screwed!

I'm just curious why the audience for this never dovetailed with the High School Musical crowd. I mean, it's exactly the same thing, isn't it? It really isn't. High School Musical is insanely sanitised and U rated. Glee is majorly PG-13. They have gay characters, swear words, legitimate bullying, f***ing, pregnancy, masturbation and an entire episode about picturing an ugly person to make your boner go away. That's part of what originally gave it potential - High School Musical but with balls. I forgot to mention, I saw the Glee cast perform on X Factor over here in the UK a while ago, and honestly... Rachel's voice is so much better live. When she's not acting as an entitled bitch, when she's not auto-tuned at the ass, she has an expressive, country-style singing voice that I would genuinely buy records to hear. But of course she will never sound like that on a record. Ever.

I'm not into it, but it seems like harmless fun for people that like it, especially teens.
People that hate on stuff like that just have too much free time.

Yeah, I went way off the show for the reasons given on page one, but anyone trying to tell me that Lea Michelle and Chris Colfer can't sing are fools. What they mean is they dont like the way they sing, but to deny their talent is just stupid as they quite obviously can sing, very, very well, even when sounding as over produced as they do now (wasn't as bad back in the first season of the show). Same with a few of the other cast members like the big black girl and the gay boyfriend.

Yeah, I don't like Family Guy much either. Good one. My hate, or rather disinterest, came from hearing their version of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" in a Best Buy and thinking "Who ruined such a great song?" THIS. I can't stand the butchering of classic songs.

But of course she will never sound like that on a record. Ever. Lea Michelle has a fantastic, theatrical voice, and she was already a rising star on Broadway before joining Glee. Hearing her sing live is amazing and it really annoys me how much of the singing is auto-tuned considering how great some of the actors' voices are. The overuse of auto-tune is one of the worst sins of pop music since T-Pain first popularized it. Everything just sounds robotic and manufactured since it's used to cover up ANY imperfections, no matter how minor they are. Though strangely I don't mind T-Pain since he's sort of turned overruse of auto-tune into its own art form.

I don't hate it but it doesn't interest me. Some of my dorm mates in college liked it and I would catch the end of it waiting for The New Girl to come on and I never felt the need to watch an entire episode.

Having a negative opinion of something and spending your time hating on it are two different things. I hate Glee. I mean legitimately hate the program. Any time my girlfriend watches it, I leave the room. It doesn't take much energy to hate it. I do understand what you mean though, actively going around to hate it is time consuming. I just try my best to ignore it.

I love the show, but if I weren't a fan, I think the main things that would get on my nerves would be:
A.) The fact that everyone in Glee Club has dated one another. B.) The way every character has a storyline, even if it's just randomly introduced.
Like really. They have so many characters with so many stories going on at the same time, that some people will be forgotten from week to week. Quinn had her baby and then was forgotten, then she randomly goes all bad girl, and quickly switches back and disappears again. Then they have her get in an auto accident and get paralyzed, and then 2 episodes later she's no longer paralyzed. Seriously. She had the least dramatic paralysis storyline ever.
And Brittany and Santana suddenly are a gay couple. I know they had hinted that they were more than friends at times, but it felt like they had them come out full on gay just for the sake of having more gay characters.
The Glee Project show situation also irks me. The kid that plays Rory won it and was on most of the episodes last season, but the losers from the show ended up coming on at varioius times and having bigger storylines than he did. It made the show almost pointless.
But I still love the show. Especially the Bieste stuff. Dot Marie Jones deserves all the credit she gets for that role and then some.

I'm sure one of their producers throwing a bitch-fit and accusing Kings of Leon of being homophobes because they didn't like the show and said he couldn't use their music didn't help.

My fiancee went through a phase where she watched this show, and it annoyed me. None of the characters, barring the dumb blonde cheerleader, are likeable, at least not consistently. Kurt isn't a character, he's a gay rights sermon wrapped in human skin(good cause, but obnoxious way to go about expounding on it), and the rest of the cast is just dumb. I forget the dumb blonde's name, but she's the only character I consistently enjoyed. That would be Brittany. For the time I watched the show, she was by far the highlight of it:
