My fiancee went through a phase where she watched this show, and it annoyed me. None of the characters, barring the dumb blonde cheerleader, are likeable, at least not consistently. Kurt isn't a character, he's a gay rights sermon wrapped in human skin(good cause, but obnoxious way to go about expounding on it), and the rest of the cast is just dumb. I forget the dumb blonde's name, but she's the only character I consistently enjoyed. That would be Brittany. For the time I watched the show, she was by far the highlight of it: Yeah, that's the one. SHE is f***ing fantastic, give her her own show, and I'll watch it. The rest, I can do without.

I never had anything against it, wasn't my kind of thing, but I didn't resent it. Then this oh-so-LGBT-positive show revealed its true face. They did a Rocky Horror adaptation with no mention of transvestites or transsexuals at all (That's VERY difficult to do with Rocky Horror), and they had their main character describe bisexuality as "a term that gay guys in high school use when they want to hold hands with girls and feel like a normal person for a change.” LGBT positive? LG's all they care about. And I would even doubt that they care about the L. Supposedly they're actively recruiting M->F Ts for the show (were wanting them to be on that competition show for a new cast member), but want to make sure they've already started legitimately been on female hormones for a while, or already had the surgery. Anyway, more on-topic, to me, Murphy seems like a slash-and-burn type more interested in standing on his soapbox and co-opting everything into a form of self-righteous author-tracting than anything else ("The New Normal" is going to cover mostly the same LG/T ground). And unlike Bryan Fuller, he's not even slightly subdued about it.

Lea Michelle has a fantastic, theatrical voice, and she was already a rising star on Broadway before joining Glee. Hearing her sing live is amazing and it really annoys me how much of the singing is auto-tuned considering how great some of the actors' voices are. The overuse of auto-tune is one of the worst sins of pop music since T-Pain first popularized it. Everything just sounds robotic and manufactured since it's used to cover up ANY imperfections, no matter how minor they are. Though strangely I don't mind T-Pain since he's sort of turned overruse of auto-tune into its own art form. But Leah Michelle is a terrible performer. She has two faces for every song she does, scarily happy or creepily sad. And she has no subtlety to her voice. Broadway people laugh their asses off at her. Yes... I know Broadway people. Broadway people may laugh their asses off at her, but Lea Michele's laughing all the way to the bank from not only Glee, but the shows she's been in. Really wouldn't be surprised if it was professional jealousy. Broadway folk can be really uh, catty.

LOVED the first series. Second series was...ehh. Then something in me changed I just cringed watching S3, it got so bad :/ too many tribute episodes, bad writing, bad characters and I stopped watching. If I hear good things about the next season I may give it a go but at the moment...no thanks

I'm sure one of their producers throwing a bitch-fit and accusing Kings of Leon of being homophobes because they didn't like the show and said he couldn't use their music didn't help. That was Ryan Murphy himself that did that.

That was Ryan Murphy himself that did that. He also had a bitch fit over Dave Ghrol not allowing Foo Fighters' music on the show. Dude, it's their f***ing music and they don't have to allow you to use it on your shitty show.

I enjoyed it at first, then it became a personal soap box for it's creator to go off on one about 'issues', while writing his supposed protagonists as some of the most self centred, arrogant and pretentious people on TV. Yeah, I don't like Family Guy much either. Only Family Guy actually makes me laugh and the characters/situations are a bit more relatable.

I liked the first season.... then the 2nd season I just became annoyed. The whole "lesson for the week" and then it seemed like the whole show became an After School special about bullying. I tapped out about 1/3 of the way through Season 2. Oh and Matthew Morrison's character is just douchey.
