I mean it wouldn't make any sense for Lesnar to kill Shawn Michaels, beat Triple H, and leave for 6 months, essentially signaling that Lesnar got away with murdering Shawn.
It's funny how the majority of people who wanted to see Lesnar kill Shawn were the ones who wanted the guy to win too.

Not really. Anyone remember the End of the End of an Era match? Or the hear about the offscreen party for HBK last week ending the same way? Lesnar destroyed one 1/3 of the Era, destroys the next third on Sunday and tries to really end the era at Wrestlemania 29.

If they want to put Lesnar over as a sadistic, unstoppable, monster than no HHH doesn't have to win. Brock destroying HBK and HHH (and perhaps a few more over the next couple of months) makes it clear he's not a guy to be screwed with and ideally would build up Lesnar as someone who could challenge someone like Taker.

Completely disagree. Brock has to win so that Triple H can realize he shouldn't be doing the same schtick anymore, that he shouldn't be going toe to toe with guys like Brock and he pays the price when he truly does. Plus, if HHH wins, Brock's match with whoever at Mania will be absolutely heatless because no one will believe that he'll win.

This thread title made me laugh pretty hard for some reason. I think it was one of those plaintive "wow.....he's right!" kind of laughs.
I think criticizing fans for wanting Brock to take out HBK and still wanting him to win is pretty silly. What, are we only supposed to want WWE to do formulaic things?

It's almost a guarantee that he will.

That's exactly why Brock should win.
Because Trips SHOULD win, therefore Brock should win and decisively.
If they want a big Brock Lesnar WM match, this is the perfect way to do it and I hope that they pull the trigger.

Brock doesn't have to 'win', really. It can Hunter putting forth a valiant showing before Lesnar just rips on him, to the point that the ref declares a KO/No-Contest.
Mind, I see it going the other way, considering the history of people bringing Hunter's family into a feud.

That tells a great story going to WM and really works well.

Lesnar has all the momentum going into this thing, thus if Triple H loses, he's going to look like a total idiot. And that's not something that is acceptable out of COO Triple H.

It depends how they want to book Lesnar.
If they want to make money and build Brock up as an unstoppable monster? Let Brock win. If they want to prove that Triple H is still one of the biggest monsters in the WWE. Let Triple H win
They would be better off making Brock win this fight. After losing to Cena he should beat Triple H. It makes no sense to have him lose to Cena AND Triple H. No one wants to see that crap.

Triple H can win but he shouldn't be able to leave on his own two feet, imo, especially if it's building to a Brock match at Mania. So, win the fight, lose the war.

If they really wanna do a potential Lesnar-Taker match, Lesnar should absolutely demolish HHH Sunday night. I mean completely rip him apart, take him off TV for the remainder of the year. 3 F-5's at max and a crimson-masked HHH having to be carted out of the arena into an ambulance. Then the following night on RAW, Lesnar comes out and cuts a brief promo that he took out HBK and HHH and there is one man left for him to take out, the Undertaker. Have Lesnar disappear for a while and return at Survivor Series to confront Taker and plant the seeds for Mania.

Remember when we were all clamoring for Brock to demolish Cena at Extreme Rules to build up a reign of terror, and that ended up going somewhat south? I expect disappointment for those expecting a similar endgame for Sunday.

If Lesnar doesn't win, they legitimately sunk too much money down the wrong toilet.
Lesnar needs to rip Triple H's arm out of its socket on Sunday then leaves with the "It doesn't matter to me!" attitude.

Lesnar is no Jericho, why should I pitch out money for someone who loses all the damn time?
"WATCH BROCK LESNAR...GET BEATEN UP ALL THE TIME! WHO CARES IF HE'S CREDIBLE! HE CAN TOTALLY BEAT KOFI KINGSTON OR SOMETHING!"
