Sometimes it is surprising to find guys who fought for whatever reason. Whether it was because they weren't in the same company very long, their ages were too far apart or a number of other reasons. Often the matches are disapointing such as Bret Hart facing The Rock in an under 10 minute match in 1997. Other times they are great such as Bret Hart facing Ricky Steamboat in singles action in the 1980s. Here are a few matches you might not expect to have happened, but did: Jushin "Thunder" Liger vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage tinyurl.com/9jjhx8yThe Great Muta vs. Ricky Steamboat tinyurl.com/9p6rzqqBret Hart vs. Tiger Mask tinyurl.com/93jh2k3The last one is not that surprising, but still worth watching if you've only seen the Dynamite/Tiger Mask matches. Any other surprising ones? Two I don't have the videos on hand to, but may surprised some are Vader vs. Edge and Ken Shamrock vs. Chris Jericho. Both happened just as one guy was leaving and the other was coming in.

Undertaker vs. Tugboat, I stumbled across that one on YouTube and thought it really random.

This wont sound that great but I was surprised by some of the matches Mike Awesome had in WCW. I knew he was there but didn't know much about what he did. I actually liked his match against Scott Stiener.

Owen Hart took on Kurt Angle in a dark match. It was shortly before Owen's death.
Hulk Hogan vs. William Regal seemed very random.

Owen Hart took on Kurt Angle in a dark match. It was shortly before Owen's death. I really would have liked to have seen that, even though Angle was just getting started at that point and was doing more training as a pro wrestler at that point.

I would have loved to have seen what they could do with 20-25 minutes, but I doubt HHH would ever want to make himself look that weak to Taka which is unfortunate.

Oddly enough it is also a pretty entertaining match. I especially like how Muta gets the mist in.

This one is surprising for a different reason but Flair facing Shane Douglas. I'm shocked they managed to not kill each other during the match. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxBKsHAKHvQ (Link is part 1, I'm sure you can figure out how to get to part 2 on your own)

Terry Funk vs Bret Hart in 1997. If my memory is correct, they also wrestled shortly before Bret Hart had to retire on an episode of Thunder. I could have some facts wrong.

Macho Man Randy Savage vs Chris Benoit wrestled on Nitro back in '95 or '96. It's a short match, but it was weird to see these two in the ring together.
