Yeah, just like with Kingpin, they can be the best actor in the world, but the character is a white guy, not a black guy. I'm truly not a racist or anything like that, just someone who prefers their characters to look like their comic counterparts. Well to be fair if Michael Clark Ducan was white he would exactly look like Kingpin. I hope he's Kingpin again if they made another DD movie like how they must Have JK Simmons as Jonah Jameson. I hate to break it to you man but Michael Clark Duncan died recently

While I didn't like the first one, I don't understand the "It's a white character" thing. There has been different interpretations of characters throughout comic book history. Nick Fury was once white. This is just another interpretation of a character. I'm actually more intrigued by the moves they're making for the sequel. I might actually watch it.

I'm on board, Amazing was the best Spidey yet, and I liked the Raimi ones.

Fury is still a white guy. Samuel L Fury being everywhere doesnt negate that. It just makes crazy old comic geeks like me shake our heads. (I dont actually mind Marcus Fury, the illegitimate Fury kid in the 616, I just hate how they show horned him in to a role rather than let him be a new character)

Yeah, I think the big problem is when it happens just for the sake of it, and if it ends up getting shoe horned into comics like the aforementioned Sam Jackson Fury bastard son in the current universe. Same thing happens when they gender flip someone, like in the Hawaii 5-0 reboot and Elementary.

True but the Marvel movies for the most part don't stick to one universe they pick and choose at will which universe to go by

It's not Jamie Foxx's fault they ran out of black superhero/villains.

Think they might run risk of people taking Tombstone's being albino the wrong way.
Though maybe that's joke ya were goin for.

to be perfectly honest, my knowledge of the character had left me over the years. I knew he was African American but for some reason thought his skin color was due to some sort of accident rather than him being albino

Maybe because that's how it happened in the 90s Spider-man cartoon.

It's not Jamie Foxx's fault they ran out of black superhero/villains. I'd be down for a movie based on Astro City's Jack-in-the-Box character.
