Maybe because that's how it happened in the 90s Spider-man cartoon. well there you go. that would make sense since I watched that religiously but haven't seen any of the episodes in years.

Why can't Jamie Foxx be Falcon sure his power/ability is to talk to birds Falcon is...actually pretty awesome, but as already mentioned, already off in another Marvel movie coming soon.

Jamie Foxx as Electro is one hell of a random casting choice, even beyond the obvious race issue.

Huh. Cooper's a good actor...but I don't see it. He doesn't strike me as Norman.

So are they setting up a sinister 6 story line?

{Spoiler} Spider-Man is getting a new costume for the sequel. I like it, they nailed the eye-lenses down pat.

By far the ebst looking eyes for the suit so far. Though I really loved Amazing costumes as it popped on screen really well.

Except they fixed the eyes and the lines aren't highlighted as strongly.

There's full shots of the outfit circulating (though not as clear as that pic I posted), and it appears to retain elements of the ASM Spidey outfit, like the enlarged Spider-Symbol on the front and the stylized arm "stripes" that the ASM outfit had.

Jamie Foxx in early talks to play 'Spider-Man 2' villain Yeah, just like with Kingpin, they can be the best actor in the world, but the character is a white guy, not a black guy. I'm truly not a racist or anything like that, just someone who prefers their characters to look like their comic counterparts. I understand casting Duncan. They were looking for a huge, intimidating name guy that can really act and do a big fight scene. They got all that. I imagine all other things being equal they'd have taken a white guy but things not being equal they opted to take a black guy rather than compromise elsewhere. Now the casting of Joe Shmo Keaton as Batman, a 50-something, pudgy Nicholson as Joker, or American dude Keanu as Constantine is another matter.

Okay, don't ever compare Keaton and Nicholson to Keanu, that's a cardinal sin.

Okay, don't ever compare Keaton and Nicholson to Keanu, that's a cardinal sin. They are better actors of course but I do like Keanu in action flicks. Thing is none of the three fit the part. A 70's-era Nicholson would've fit decently for Joker. Keaton and Keanu simply are not the guys from the source material.
