Why would they make Spider-Man look like he jumped right out of a Todd McFarlane drawing and then make the villains look like crap? Do they think a phenomenal Spidey suit will excuse crummy looking villains?

Another rumor The Green Goblin Identity Revealed? {Spoiler}{Spoiler}As stated above, our source was on set the last day of outside filming on this sequel, and can confirm that Harry Osborn is Green Goblin. This iteration of the mythos finds Dane DeHaan suiting up as the glider riding genetically altered supervillain during the climax of the film, which will take place at an Oscorp Power Planet. Electro calls the Oscorp Power Planet home in this sequel, and it serves as the source of his great electrically charged super powers. This will be the sight of Gwen's undoing, but as we've reported in the past, what looks to be the iconic death as seen in the comic book will actually be a fake out, with her actual demise coming later in the series. The film will also contain a post-credit stinger, known as a 'mini-movie', which will lead directly into The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Its not clear at this time who will be included in this scene, or what it will consist of. -CBM

They seem intent on building up Norman as the big bad, and there's no way they'd have him do a direct confrontation with Spider-Man so early. Curious if they're keeping Gwen alive to fuel a a triangle with her, Peter, and Felicia or MJ in the next film.

It wouldn't be at all accurate with the mythos, but I'm wondering if they'd actually make Norman the Hob Goblin with Harry being made the first Green Goblin...I mean, not like the first Hob Goblin's exactly anybody important, secret identity wise.
Though the description of that Green Goblin armor...holy shit. That might be worse than the Power Rangers variation.

This film is sounding and looking less and less like any Spider-man I know.

Harry being the Goblin first would be kinda neat. They toyed around with that in Spectacular Spider-Man.
I'm perfectly fine with playing around with some characters or shifting the timelines slightly. I have the comics if I want to see the original stories. Why would I pay 8 dollars to see the same thing I've seen for years?
Nothing I've seen is any worse than whatever Nolan did to Batman.

I only really hated the last film. But I was just saying that the changes they're making to the spider-man history and villians aren't as different as the changes Nolan decided to go with. Not really saying anything about quality either way but Electro being a black guy now but with the same electrical powers is small beans compared to taking away Bane's entire schtick.

Foxx as Electro looks better in actual video than he does in pictures.
Pretty pumped overall, Spider-Man's funny, the action bits look good, and I'm curious what they'll do with the Osborns.

I loved Sam Raimi's first two Spidey films, but Amazing Spiderman was so much more fun to watch. I like that the lead captures the good natured vibe that helps differentiate Spidey from other angsty or self righteous heroes.
The comic con trailer for 2 has me more interested than anything else coming out of Fox/Marvel or Marvel.

I'm still disappointed they didn't subtitle it "Enter Electro." I freaking loved that game, even if it did sound unintentionally homoerotic.

Am i the only one upset that they dont have J Jonah Jameson anywhere in these films? Even if they cant use the newspaper angle, they can still make him a tv news pundit or something like on the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon.

I am kind of glad there is no JJ, out of every one from the Raimi flicks, he was the one who was pitch perfect and I cannot imagine anyone following up. And I don't feel JK's portrayal would fit in this world.
