OK, I said I would try to explain what I had in mind with my decision to not use my Jail ability if Latino flipped Town. My intent was to try to flush out the last Mafia member in that event.
I knew there was a bit of a risk involved but I figured it'd be worth the reward if I was right.
There were myriad scenarios, obviously not all of them ending well, and they'd take forever to explain. But I had planned this out and thankfully I didn't have to use it.

I get a lot of crap for character profiling, but if you look back, almost every bad guy in the show was a bad guy in this game. Maryann, Drew/Renee, Marnie, Steve Newlin, Russell etc.
So..... Yeah.

Yeah, but that's not playing mafia. That's looking into flavor text and theme.
Some games don't even have themes, which I learned the hard way when doing that in one. I also played a mafia game with characters from a show where the host randomly assigned roles to various characters from the show (the show's sweet heart girl was a mafia member), just to counter that way of playing. I partially did that with the wwe superstars game, so people wouldn't develop the habit.
I didn't do it for true blood, because I was hoping my previous game made people think other wise to not assume things, plus these true blood villains were so over the top to not use as villains in the story. =P
To be honest, I specifically wrote around you at first notorious, when I noticed you were character profiling a bit, limiting things a bit, except for obvious ones (Russell and Maryann). But I did start taking liberties with the story's villain characters of the mafia after you were poisoned, since no on else was familiar with the source material. XD
It's nice to see people use some knowledge from the show like that, cause its awesome, but basing play on flavor/theme for evidence just feels a bit cheap to me. Though, it would also be my fault as a game mod for revealing such things. (Some people don't make write ups and just list who died in some games to prevent that, but I know how much people like the stories).
So yeah, just my two cents on that. What does everybody else think? I will definitely make an effort to design future mafia games to work around that.

That's the beauty of DBZ: Abridged unlike the original show about every character in the abridged version is a prick and could easily be a member of the mafia which is why I choose Abridged instead of the original show. I'm really looking forward to starting DBZ: Abridged Mafia it'll be fun just got to wait on Anonymous GM to give me the go ahead.

It felt kind of fun to me that I appear to be the only one who played that is actually a fan of the show. It almost made it feel like I had some insider info.
It does make me giggle looking through one of the private group chats, seeing them think that I was Snooki. If you know the show, you know how blatantly Pam I was at times. Haha.

Queen Mab assembled a truly amazing game. That's exactly how you run a Mafia game and how to set one up. Balance is extremely important in the planning stages.
LoVED Sawyers round by round writeup! Great observations and a fun read!
