Chris Jericho made an excellent debut in the WWE I'd also say Jericho, that was incredible. Everything came togeter - the crowd, the music, the video, the anticipation, the hot crowd...everything worked.

The Undertaker's was definitely the best...especially since they announced him as Kane, The Undertaker...
I marked out for Flair's debut as well...especially with the real World Title belt

I know what was his original name, but I didn't think Ted Dibiase actually announced him as "Kane the Undertaker"? I never saw the live PPV, so perhaps it was edited out of the video release...but I could swear "Kane the Undertaker" was never mentioned on TV?
Funny part of that name is that WWE always ends up shortening names over time. Nation of Domination became The Nation, Rocky Maivia became the Rock. Funny to think that over the years, Mark Callaway would've simply been "Kane".

Good:
Undertaker Kane Tazz Big Show Flair's 1st WWF Run Jericho
Bad: Chris Masters (I think he's OK, I just don't like how they've done nothing with him since his debut) Gooker Shockmaster Mordecai

The Gooker's debut was awesome. A booing crowd, an orgasming Roddy Piper and Mean Gene Okerlund falling on his face - what more do you want?

What was Edge's debut like? I remember he ran in and dropped some midcarder that I didn't care about.

He had a series of awesome vignettes for four weeks leading up to his debut. Personally I think they were the best "introduction" promos WWE has ever made.
Then he made his debut on Raw. It was pretty nifty. He came through the crowd and had an entrance similar to X-Pac, where his titantron video was spliced into the live footage of him coming out, so the screen alternated between video and live. The screen also went red. They kept this for 2-3 weeks, then it stopped.
I remember he got a decent pop, but the match wasn't very memorable.

DDP had a huge debut as the stalker but that quickly died down after doing job after job for Taker.
I always felt that most WCW/ECW invaders back in 2001 didn't debut well since it was an ongoing thing week after week someone would show up and attack some poor jobber.
Mordecai is another guy that just plain sucked...I don't hope to see him back anytime soon.
Jerry Lynn's WWE career was pretty weak upon his arrival as well.

I liked Snitsky's debut!
No intro vignettes, no build, no hype, no ANYTHING. They just threw him in the ring against Kane as a total unknown. The chairshot went down, Lita lost the baby, Snitsky busted out his infamous catch phrase, and the rest is history!

i was huge on the tazz debut... and i was excited for the raven debut... too bad both petered out a few months out. feuding with announcers is never a good way to push your guys. especially when they wind up doing the job.
edge's debut was okay... him crippling one of the los bariquas was okay.
i liked the dudleyz coming in and causing a scene right away.
i was excited as hell when the radicalz showed up... but disappointed after seeing perry saturn flounder. "moppy"? crap. but that's already been established. what a waste of a good worker. they shoulda let him keep the DVD.

"moppy"? crap. but that's already been established. what a waste of a good worker. they shoulda let him keep the DVD. I was thinking they'd push him when he beat Eddie for the European title... then he started feuding with Al Snow... then he lost to William Regal and was kept in lower midcard hell on Heat... then he was part of that Dean Malenko stalking Lita angle and jobbed to the Hardyz... then he went insane and started talking nonsense and made friends with a mop. A frickin' mop. This is the man who won a match in ECW on a broken freakin' leg [/Kurt Angle voice]. No respect I tell ya.
