Never understood the CZW crowd. Even when there's a thousand people in one of the events, they doesn't seem to enjoy it. I don't know if it is because is less death match-oriented than before, but still... I've seen crowds of 20 people more involved on shows than them. I think the refocus ,or whatever you want to call it, of CZW originally had some fans a little detached witch had an effect on the crowds. The last two shows had very good crowds and in my opinion the crowd at Cage of Death XV was one of the better vocal crowds that were really into the matches. DJ has alluded to it in interviews, they basically have a new fanbase because a lot of the Philly fans don't want to make the drive to Vorhees for various reasons (big one being they don't have beer, but the Skate Zone said they could hire an outside vendor if they wanted). DJ also hasn't said it, but I get the impression that he's not really interested in going back to The Arena. They get more money running at the Flyer's Skate Zone, the owners love them, and it's actually bigger. And yes, DJ said in his shoot that they stopped doing so much ultraviolent stuff because of insurance reasons. If certain things happened they'd get hefty fines and DJ didn't want to deal with that anymore (it's a huge reason as to why CZW was losing money when Zandig sold the company). That's basically the difference between John and DJ as owners. John catered to the loyal hardcore fans who only wanted ultraviolent stuff, while DJ wants to expand CZW's audience. I mean CZW is running 1-2 shows a year in Ohio, they've done shows in Massachusetts, Indiana (which was a huge hit) and North Carolina, they tour Europe and Japan, they'll be debuting in Rhode Island, DJ has mentioned a Michigan show is probably happening this year, and he's been working to get dates in New York, Chicago, and further west. Some don't like it because DJ flat out says while CZW is family the point is to make money, and he'll do what's best to make money and what's best for his locker room. Zandig would've been content running 6 hour shows of blood and guts in the Arena.

Juicy Product teams with Alex Colon and a member of the Front to take on the team of OI4K, Azrieal, and Chris Dickinson.
So I guess Juicy Product are heels despite being insanely over with the Skate Zone

Sounds like Drake is going to have one last match in CZW before going to WWE (or at least try).
Also, despite his best efforts, Tim Donst will not be part of Best of the Best

Also, despite his best efforts, Tim Donst will not be part of Best of the Best Donst wants into CZW? yep he contacted DJ when CHIKARA's angle started and DJ seriously considered it but for one reason or another it didn't happen (but DJ really likes Donst). Donst also had a social media campaign going to get into BOTB but I think DJ basically had BOTB already booked. And I think the original plan was for Az to be the heel, but he got a huge pop for attacking Colon. And for those wondering, Buxx Belmar is a wrestler in Canada and I think DJ wants to bring him in full time. He mentioned in an interview back before Cage of Death he was going to start up CZW contracts (not really exclusive but rights of refusal for bookings and garaunteed dates) and one of the reasosn he was going to give it a try again (tried in the past and it didn't work) was there were 4 Canadian wrestlers he wanted to use and giving them contracts would help with Visa issues (I assumed at the time 2 were the Smash Bros who are experiencing visa issues)

Devon Moore will try to reclaim the Wired Title from Shane Strickland in a ladder match at Best of the Best.
And Drake Younger will say his goodbye to the Combat Zone as he takes on Danny Havoc that same night.
Now I have to make it out for the show

Nevermind on Drake/Havoc, Drake will be in the BOTB tournament. The list of participants for Best of the Best have been announced...
Buxx Belmar "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher Caleb Konley "The Kentucky Gentleman" Chuck Taylor Lucky 13 "The Apex of Agility" Andrew Everett "Speedball" Mike Bailey "The Greek God" Papadon Alex Colon "The Good Guy" Azrieal Biff Busick AR Fox "The Ultraviolent Goldenboy" Drake Younger
Mike Bailey is another Canadian like Bulmer. Here's a match between the 2 of them
Bulmer I guess has been working for Beyond a bit. Bailey did have a match for CHIKARA when they went to Canada, but he's otherwise made his home in C4
Papadon's probably the best indy guy not in one of the "big" indy promotions

I'm glad Mike Bailey will be getting big exposure. Dude is a beast. Same for Buxx. His last match in Chikara must made Quackenbush's histrionic flare up.

I mentioned this for Buxx, but back when DJ was hyping up Cage of Death (I believe this was on the Uncle Mike and Tom Show) he was talking about putting together CZW contracts (tried it in the past, but guys are more open to them now). The aren't exclusive deals, but they guarantee so many dates, and CZW gets the first rights of refusal if you get booked elsewhere (DJ said the only time he'd use this is if a booking interfered with things for his plans). But he said the main reason he was putting it together was that there were 4 Canadians he wanted to use and getting them signed to contracts would help with Visas. I'm guessing Buxx and Bailey are those guys. Oh and listening to a DJ interview from January, CZW will likely be returning to North Carolina later this year, and the have things set for a Chicago show and MAYBE some shows in Long Island.
