Nevermind on Drake/Havoc, Drake will be in the BOTB tournament. The list of participants for Best of the Best have been announced... Buxx Belmar "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher Caleb Konley "The Kentucky Gentleman" Chuck Taylor Lucky 13 "The Apex of Agility" Andrew Everett "Speedball" Mike Bailey "The Greek God" Papadon Alex Colon "The Good Guy" Azrieal Biff Busick AR Fox "The Ultraviolent Goldenboy" Drake Younger Mike Bailey is another Canadian like Bulmer. Here's a match between the 2 of them Bulmer I guess has been working for Beyond a bit. Bailey did have a match for CHIKARA when they went to Canada, but he's otherwise made his home in C4 Papadon's probably the best indy guy not in one of the "big" indy promotions Papadon is awesome. May see this show just for him, I don't follow CZW.

The more international flavor that CZW has at TOD the better.

The more international flavor that CZW has at TOD the better. Well you'll love TOD this year... Also DJ Hyde and a mystery partner will fight Tommy Dreamer and BLK Jeez at BOTB. Also looking like the title match in Providence will be Drew Gulak vs Biff Busick

If I'm remembering correctly, TOD was supposed to feature a USA vs. Japan theme, this year. With Aero Boy joining the field, I wonder if CZW is going to expand that to a USA vs. Mexico vs. Japan theme?

I think it's more because the Chilanga Mask people have really helped out CZW get exposure in Mexico (especially Masada and DJ Hyde)which could set up future CZW tours in Mexico so it's a thank you.
Plus Aero Boy did a good job in his CZW debut, and I know they've been trying to add a Mexican promotion to their relationship with WXW and Big Japan (and the various different UK promotions). DTU was looking like it would be that company but they keep falling through for whatever reason.

Kimber Lee vs. Lexxus (or Alexxis as the CZW website has dubbed her) has been added to the Providence show on April 27th.

This is all going to make for an interesting TOD this year. Masada and Tremont being out of last years TOD really screwed everything up. It was Tremont's tournament to win last year, so it will be interesting to see if they give it to him this year. I could see them re-establishing Masada as the ultra-violent beast with a win this year. Like I said, this is going to be interesting, which is all a wrestling fan can ask for.

Actually Drake was supposed to win last year but he retired from death matches without telling CZW (one of the reasons he was gone for so long) Tremont was the number 2 guy and him having the false positive messed up even more plans.

This may have been mentioned already, but in one of his promos, Danny Havoc said that Drake Younger will wrestle his final match with CZW at an upcoming show (Has it happened yet?).
Does Younger wrestle exclusively for promotions based in the west coast now that he lives there? I can't see him getting booked for BJW any more since he retired as a death match wrestler.

His last show is BOTB as he's signed with the WWE reportedly.
He spent more time just wrestling in Cali because of flight costs and some business decisions.

Good for Jeez. Actually a good dude despite his gimmick and deserves a shot at the big time. DJ also always encourages his guys to take the chance to make it big (it's why Pepper Parks wasn't at COD)

From PWPonderings
I figured something with Steen was happening as he and DJ had been going back and forth on twitter. Cool to see Juicy Product get the win over OI4K was well since they're so over with the crowd (which kind of shocked me since David Starr was initially supposed to be a heel)
I figured it would either be Drake or Biff winning... Biff because he's got the World title shot in Providence, Drake cause he's leaving. Drake has also said that his only 2 goals left on the indies were to win the 14 Karat tourny and the BOTB tourny. But this was a long time coming for him as he carried CZW through some dark times.

I was there. It was an ok show. The Busick/Taylor match was pretty boring contrary to what other guy said. Best match was def the Bailey, Everett, Fox match

I think the big issue with Best of the Best (at least this show and last year's) is that DJ hasn't used it much to further storylines. Which is fine in a lot of ways as he does go out of his way to get guys exposure on the show. But his first BOTB was hyped up featuring HUGE names and was used to prove Adam Cole was the best Junior Heavyweight in the world. 2012 was all about Sami Callihan finally winning the big one (and they also played up how Sami had yet to beat Drake clean earlier in the show to hype up their Junior Heavyweight title feud). Last year they kind of tried to use it as a platform to build Alex Colon as an opportunist who won by cheating (that and his Wired TV title win but Colon couldn't build momentum).
I'm cool with Drake winning as he deserves the win and he bleeds Black and Yellow, but I kind of feel as though it would have done so much more for Biff
