But, my problem is, that even though Sacramento may have embraced the Kings, shouldn't Kansas City have some say as well as Seattle? I mean, the franchise did start there in KC. I'm also pissed that no NBA teams are originally from California. And that the Warriors refuse to be associated with Oakland, even though it's been their home since the 70s. Calling them Golden State just sounds stupid, and hopefully will go away when they move back to San Francisco. Also, the race for the 8 seed in the west should come down to the final day of the regular season. Should be mediocre exciting. The Kings were originally from Rochester not KC and they left KC without anyone there giving a damn. Sacramento has completely sold out 19 of 28 seasons while we've had the Kings and most of that time the team was abysmal. The reason why the Kings haven't been selling out lately is because the Maloofs have done everything to torch one of the best fan bases in the NBA the last 7 or 8 years. You can read about it here. www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-cap-kevin-johnson-20130401,0,5136068,full.column And here www.sbnation.com/2013/4/2/4173658/sacramento-kings-sale-seattle-supersonics-maloofsAnd also here www.sactownroyalty.com/2013/4/2/4172622/sacramento-kings-seattle-supersonics-relocation-board-governors-david-aldridge#comments

As a former Kansas City/Omaha Kings fan I now hope the Kings leave Sacramento just so you know what it feels like to have your sports heart ripped out as I have. Then maybe you won't speak so callously of things you haven't yet experienced.
Yeah, our markets didn't support it very well... that's even an understatement. Attendance was pretty bad. But don't you DARE pretend that nobody here cared. Honestly, with what's all going on now, we probably have more in common than we realize.
EDIT: I take a little back. I don't want anybody to experience losing a loved team. BUT I'm leaving the original post unaltered so you understand the emotions that you are dismissing as if "nobody cared".
You can keep your Kings, just don't forget your team was once somebody elses

You can keep your Kings, just don't forget your team was once somebody elsesMy wording was a bit too harsh and I apologize for that. I honestly didn't expect to hear from a fan of the Kansas City Kings because I really didn't think they even existed. You are the first person I've ever encountered that was a passionate fan of that team. With that being said the Kings/Royals have always been the nomad franchise of the NBA and Sacramento is the one market that has always fully embraced the team as it's own. I 100% agree with Mayor Kevin Johnson when he said the Kings are Sacramento's and that our city should be the franchise's final home.

I try not to be a huge conspiracy guy, but this looks rather interesting to me. Don't worry, the ship will right itself when the Lakers run into San Antonio or Oklahoma City in the first round and are soundly trounced in four or five games.

Hopefully with those 3 out, the Knicks can get an easy victory tonight. That's what I said before the Heat/Spurs game.

He knew that this town loved their Kings so much and it was a great way to draw ire. The Maloof brothers, who don't know anything about basketball, and want this to pass so they can have both a big payday and also to still own this team in Seattle (and keep getting money). That was probably their master plan; take a popular fanbase, and torch them so much so that when it's time to sell, nobody will complain. They never cared about the city. They are just two assholes. And, the Popovich/Stern spat is really because Stern hates the San Antonio Spurs, an "unmarketable team", because they have been so successful for so many years with Gregg at the helm.

Hopefully with those 3 out, the Knicks can get an easy victory tonight. Not if the man who hit 7 Threes in Game 5 of last year's Finals has something to say about it.

I try not to be a huge conspiracy guy, but this looks rather interesting to me. I'd bet money that if you went through and looked for highlights of EVERY game that every team has played over the course of a season, you could find 6-7 plays (just like in the ones in the video) where the refs blow a call and it favors the other team. You could probably make a similar video for all 29 of the other teams showing the refs unfairly giving them the advantage based off of a handful of plays over the course of 82 games.

There are bad calls every game, and every team gets calls. That's how the NBA works, officials miss calls regularly. It's a shitty game to try to officiate live. Yes, some players get more calls by nature of being superstars, but the vast majority of can just be chalked up to being bad calls, and those happen all the time.

Never knew there was a special playoffs spot for a #9 seed.

David Stern: Due to overwhelming demand, I'm pleased to announce with the approval of the NBA Governors, the creation of the 9th seed. It will have bye for the first two rounds.

I think for the most part that's probably true, with the exception of the Rubio play, which did get scrutinized a bit for not being called. Then again, the conspiracy theorist part of me will always be hung up on the '02 Western Conference Finals. Besides, it's not like I have a lot of other basketball stuff to focus on right now. The Pistons are at that point in the season where I almost want them to lose to improve their draft chances.

Novakaine hits a 3 before the buzzer to put the Knicks up by 2 entering the 4th.

But that's really one of the only cases where there was something fishy. For the most part, its as Impact said above.
