Some of these are more over-dressed than fully dressed, I don't need to see my favorite super-heroines dressed as total sluts but they also don't have to be wearing a winter coat to look modest. A middle ground is good.

Some of those looked okay, but superheroes in slacks just feels wrong to me.

Super girl looks pretty good there.
They should give Wonder Woman that look from now on, she needs to change it up anyway.

Oh my, one of them might show an ankle or a wrist. That would be horrrible.
There is one thing to get away from the low cut stuff, but this stuff goes the total opposite direction.

Did anyone actually read what the article said, that it's just an exercise in character design? Of course a middle ground can be found, but here he tried to show if they can go all the way and still retain their distinctive nature. And yes, it turns out they can, and even the 'overdressed' designs can look really good... So what's the excuse of the people working in the main companies?

Supergirl and Wonder Woman are the weakest ones IMO because it seems that he just drew them normally and then added pants and long sleeves.

Zatanna in a vest and slacks really works, in a King kinda way (though the shirt should be tucked in). Not bad, these renditions, although Wonder Woman with the brown trousers looks kind of off. Maybe something in navy or red to keep with the color scheme.

I disagree strongly. most of these designs are really cool and still pretty sexy. it's not about how much skin is visible, it's about how they're drawn.

Zatanna kinda looks like Dr. Who. it'd be better than her current outfit (which is basiclly just regular clothes and no distinctive top-hat, because f*** being distinctive [/DC editorial])

Super girl looks pretty good there. They should give Wonder Woman that look from now on, she needs to change it up anyway. just change the pants to red or blue, the brown clashes too much. Agreed. A lot of the pants, especially on Wonder Woman and Super Girl would have been fine, if they'd been a little more color coordinated. I really liked Zatanna's outfit. For a magician character like her, I felt the slacks actually fit. Also liked Psychloke's costume. I still kinda think the sleeves/pants color is off...and maybe should be blue or purple, but the greyish color does work pretty well. LOVED Electra's costume! Just reminded me of a ninja, except wearing red and black. Perfect for her character, especially since a lot of the designs stayed true to what her normal outfits are. If I have any complaint, I do think a lot of the costumes were too baggy. Not trying to sound like a perv or anything, but men wear skin tight stuff all the time, and with the women all wearing such puffy clothing, it just kinda feels off. I think Supergirl, especially, should have been wearing blue tights or something to that effect. My only thing with Wonder Woman wearing so much is...it just doesn't seem to fit her character/culture. I know this is weird to say, but "ancient Greek" type characters lose something when you put tons of clothes on them. Hercules looks far better in his rather scantily clad outfits then he ever has in full suits/body armor. I feel the same way about Wonder Woman in this regard. I guess I just like her "swim suit" look too much.

on that note, I also mostly like Black Canary's design, I'd just switch out the slacks for black army/cargo pants and combat boots. her current turquoise tights/slippers look doesn't really fit her abilities/background.

I hate the Super Girl, Wonder Woman and Power Girl designs. They just look ugly to me and off. I think a design could be done in a similar vein that looks good though.
All the others I dig, honestly.

The Supergirl and Black Canary designs are the best. I don't mind Wonder Woman wearing long pants (in fact, I prefer it), but Lunsford- who's a damn fine artist if this is any indication- overdressed her a bit there. The brown slacks are just ew.

It's not Power Girl with out her giant cleavage. the one new 52 change DC actually threw out apparently Power Girl's cleavage is more important than Wally West or Donna Troy.

The last three look great (especially Elektra -- Man, I should read a Daredevil comic again; it's been years), but others look off. (Some of the proportions, like Power Girl and her arms, don't help.) With her stage magician past, Zatanna is an entertainer sort, so her cleavage would be excusable. Black Canary's stuff is too bulky and loos like something out of that early 2000s X-Men cartoon in a bad way. Also, Supergirl's and Wonder Woman's pants just look awful. You know, I don't think the worst thing about female superheroes are the costumes themselves but rather the proportions of their bodies. Big tits aren't conducive to people who fight all the time. You figure this Elektra would get a reduction job or at least wear a bra: images2.fanpop.com/images/photos/4400000/Elektra-marvel-comics-4412322-1280-800.jpg
