Yeah, I'm down with that idea. Orange, what do you think of basically random lynches day 1? I feel like they are pretty much a necessary evil. I've been in too many game where strings of no lynches lost it for the town. Yeah, they are a necessary evil, but I still detest them, mainly because they seem to never end up with a dead Mafia member. If they helped the town more over the course of these games, even if the odds were 50/50 I'd like them more, but it seems like the odds are 95/5 that a townie is going to get killed. I've seen them end up with mafia lynches elsewhere, but not often. Mostly it has to do with odds, like you said, it's never going to be 50/50, more likely you're going to end up killing an innocent, which really sucks, but it's better than being a sitting duck.

What'd I do to get lumped in worth them? Oh wait....yeah lol. Here's an idea: everyone ask the person below you on the sign up list a Mafia related question. This will help get discussion going (and maybe get scum to slip up). @wolfanghurricane: On day one, lynches are important. Would you be willing to help lynch someone on Day One even if you weren't convinced that they were scum? Why/why not? Alright, you're under me so I'll ask you a question. Do you think active inactives, in a small game like this (assuming they'll even exist given we're dealing with a handful of people), should be a focal point for the town in this game? Day one, i'm ok with it in a smaller game because I'd rather have someone contributing than someone silent and not helping. I'd prefer to avoid it by having everyone participate, hence went i started the idea of ppl asking questions. TL;DR - I will lynch an inactive if absolutely necessary

Ebwop: day one, ok for focal point. Throughout the game, no.

My reasoning is that lynching an inactive seems like an unnecessary distraction. I admit that Scum sometimes plays that way to try to fly under the radar though. I'll just watch out for inactives I guess and hope lynching them is worth it on a scale this small.

I look at everything else before I go the inactive route.

I feel like I've got a little bit of a cheat sheet by watching everyones' styles in the TMNT game from the mod chair and then playing with some of the same people here.
It's also a bit of a detriment, because I can't use that intel, because it might spoil stuff for the other game.
Dilemmas and such.

Ebwop: thanks Brad Wolf Hurricane: On day one, lynches are important. Would you be willing to help lynch someone on Day One even if you weren't convinced that they were scum? Why/why not? Yes and no. While I'd try not to vote for who I think is town or aren't sure if scum, I'm willing to vote that way if A) I'm at least leaning scum and no one else sticks out to me as such or B) that's where the trend's heading AND valuable information can be gathered by their lynch. That said: Vote: BoilerRoomBrawler. Yer dice rollin' is pissin' me off. {Spoiler} SpoilerSpoiler Unvote

I didn't roll dice. I haven't voted. I haven't even pointed a FoS yet. AH asked to borrow them as a joke, so I responded in kind.

At work atm. Can someone compile a list of people that haven't asked a question and haven't answered a question?

I don't believe I've answered any questions yet, but I also haven't been asked anything, to my knowledge.

A lot of people I played with in the Batman game carried over to TMNT and have carried over here, but I don't think you can judge other play styles as games'll change. You can certainly look for parallels as some are bound to exist, but with every game being different, especially a small one like this, play styles are bound to change.

I know I answered AH's question regarding my opinion on first day lynches. As everyone and their uncle says, it's a necessary evil. Town needs to take the shot even if odds are it will be a Townie that is lynched because it provides the first set of clues which will snowball into more clues as the game wears on.
Classy Lady, I don't think we've played together before, so I'll ask you a question. If someone casts the first actual vote of Day 1 (i.e. not a joke Vote that is quickly Unvoted), how do you respond when it is a shot in the dark with no compelling evidence for anyone?

I feel like a lynch should be made of someone that didnt ask a question. This shows me that they arent willing to push forward discussion.

What about players who fail to answer questions? Who is more suspicious, the player who doesn't ask questions or the player who doesn't answer them? At least on Day 1, that is.
I suppose a player who does neither looks the worst, assuming they are active.
