There's something so strangely...stable about Kofi. It's like he's this straight ray of constant, unbending midcardness. I can sooner imagine a Wrestlemania ending with Zack Ryder, Alex Riley, Tyson Kidd, Santino and John Morrison standing tall as singles champions at the same time than I can see Kofi breaking the midcard even though there are only four singles titles and I just mentioned five wrestlers one of which isn't even employed at the moment.
He's not booked weak or anything, it's just that he's booked so...consistently that I literally cannot imagine him out of the midcard.

Weren't there articles like this a few months ago when Kofi beat Miz for the IC title and WWE started trying to get "The Wildcat" over as his nickname?
That sure went somewhere.

Heel Kofi + Prince Nana + wwe embassy = main event Kofi. add mason Ryan as muscle and Justin Gabriel as mid card guy. That's what id do with Kofi. Deck him all out in black and gold or white and gold. It'd own

I will say however that if he's ever going to get a world title, Dolph Ziggler is right there with one.

I don't even think that was in the Observer. I just checked the most recent one and I didn't see anything like that about Kofi.

Kofi has been given chances? Save for the feud with Randy Orton, he's been stuck in midcard purgatory and given mic time like once every 6 months if he's lucky. How the hell is that "given the chance to prove himself?"

We all know that Kofi is capable of great matches when you give him an opponent he has chemistry with.
Just give him an actual angle and feud, for once.
He showed something in the Randy mini-feud (until STUPID STUPID STUPID).
Let's see if he still has it in him.
If nothing else, he could be the (less crazy, more competent) Matt Hardy to Dolph Ziggler's Edge.

Kofi has been given chances? Save for the feud with Randy Orton, he's been stuck in midcard purgatory and given mic time like once every 6 months if he's lucky. How the hell is that "given the chance to prove himself?" They talk about "breaking through" and all that, which I always found to be such a ridiculous thing to say in the world of professional wrestling. Afterall, wrestling isn't real and you aren't in charge of where you go or if you win or not. You can go out there and bust your ass, and some agent will say you're trying too hard or are showing up the rest of the roster. You can go out there and work modestly and all the sudden you don't care or anything like that. "And you damn better not be yourself! We have a gimmick for you! Read these lines the way they're written and don't go off script." *looks over Kofi* "So here's the US title, you better do good with it!" *a month passes by* "Dammit, I gave you that title for a reason! Why aren't you going out there and proving yourself? I don't care if you weren't on the show the last 2 weeks, that's no excuse! And who needs mic time now? You're a champion! Well, if you're not going to treat your push with respect, I guess there's someone else who will." *Cesaro passes by* "You there...here's the US title, you better do good with it..."

I believe any chance to truly make Kofi a star was missed in 2010. He should've won MitB at WM 26. It would've been a redemption of sorts after "STUPID, STUPID!".
I'm not saying he can't become a big star. Crazier things have happened. I'm just not sure he can make as much money as he could've if he was pushed a few years ago.

I've predicted this since Dolph won the belt so I hope it's true. Dolph and Kofi go together so if one moves up so does the other. This is perfect for him if true.

I'd love to see Kofi as a main-event player, but I won't hold my breath. I feel like he's doomed to yo-yo pushes along with talented guys like Cody Rhodes.

It's funny how this story comes out when he's most likely to lose to Ambrose. If he does win then ill start to believe it slightly. Anyways what happened to his proposed heel turn? I keep saying Kofi needs to bring back the New Nation and get rid of his slave name to Kofi Abdul Muhammed Kingston!

Hasn't he been pushed enough? He's held the belt for what, two years? Give someone else a turn already!
...okay, I wanted to use the "Sorry, wrong Kingston" 'joke' at least once before Kofi lost to Ambrose on Sunday.

The sad part is that I think "Hasn't he been pushed enough" and "Give someone else a turn already" DOES apply to Kofi Kingston. It seems like the midcard title pattern Kofi > Random Heel > Kofi > Random heel > Kofi > Random heel, and no other midcard face gets a chance to be credible or semi-relevant.

Hell, they've even been doing that with the Tag Team titles. Kofi and Punk, Air Boom, Air Truth. I think Kofi's won more titles than any of the other midcarders around.
