"Hey, let's strip him of his gimmick, give it to the much less entertaining Jack Swagger, then depush him for being boring." Sometimes, I question the mental stability of the higher ups of WWE. Do not question the mental stability of a man that eats ketchup and steak wraps and chases people around with soiled underwear on a stick.

Other have basically said what I would say if true, WWE has no one to blame but themselves. They'd randomly give him something new to do, give him a month to get it over and then no matter if it was getting over or failing, they'd strip it and go to something else. WWE forgot what it is to have patience and let stuff grow. With that said, I don't buy it. He's just hit the down part of the WWE Yo-Yo like every other guy in WWE to debut past 2004 has. They gave him the world and now are taking it away to see how he handles it. agreed. Dean Ambrose is getting his singles push right now, if he wins the US title he basically got Cesaro's spot. I think that's a main reason, they like Ambrose a lot and want to give him a strong singles run as a heel.

This is so f***ing stupid.
He is god damn GOLD. Lets depush him because we have tons of boring, shitty ass wrestlers to push instead.

At least the company is not as brain dead as I thought because Antonio Cesaro is incredibly boring and needs to do something completely crazy to be worth being on the main show.
This is Lance Storm levels of boring.

I think Cesaro could benefit from being a face. He's got things that both the casual fan and the fan of indy wrestling could both appreciate. Impressive strongman feats plus excellent looking wrestling, he'd just need to give them something to chant.

And yet Alberto Del Rio, the most boring guy on the roster, is a main eventer? Del Rio is not boring. Not even close. Miz is the most boring guy on the roster.

I've been since he was signed.
He's a natural babyface. They killed him from the start.

I just can't understand you. To me he's as exciting as they come. It's all in where you find your excitement I guess.

I didn't comb through the first 3 pages of the thread, but I have to assume that someone mentioned the fact that last week the report was that he was about to get a push because they loved that Main Event match so much.
Journalism and such.

Cesaro has great matches, that is no longer enough to be successful as a wrestler unfortunately. I agree that WWE hasn't given him much to do, but there are guys on the roster who have turned shit into gold and Cesaro is not one of them.

I think had he been brought in similar to The Shield, Del Rio, Barrett, or Langston, he would've gotten over more. The formula of beating lower card guys for a few months to prove your worth doesn't get over as much, unless its done in a unique way (Ryback).

You know, they're probably saying he's boring AFTER everything he's done. I mean if they felt his other gimmicks were successful they wouldn't change them

It's entire WWE's fault. They created a boring character, so naturally it's boring. WWE place unnecessary obstacles in the path of success.

Honestly, I think we're beyond that. Which is why he needs something that's not...well that.

Know what would get him over? How about having a match like he and Kofi had on Main Event, on a show people actually watch - like, say, the flagship show, Monday Night Raw?
No, Cesaro speaking 5 languages and being stuck with Aksana was never going to last for the long haul. But he has since shown a lot of personality and believability on the mic, and he's been fun and occasionally intense and innovative in the ring. He's an interesting guy who's lead an interesting life. Why not...you know, use that? Instead of making him yodel? What subtlety!
With how they're treating guys like Cesaro or especially Wade Barrett, it's as clear as ever that despite positive changes we've seen in the company, at their core, they still don't have the foresight necessary to organically build stars. They get lucky or they force a push early on, and sometimes that works. They have two mid-card titles and they still can't book either one of those correctly. How can they build individual stars if they don't have something so simple straightened out? They always do this stuff - they try to rebuild a division or idea, then the months go by and Vince and whomever loses interest, so it was all for nothing. You can't yo-yo book like this if you want long-term success.
One would think those geniuses who thought it was a mistake to put the belt on Punk and Edge would learn from their misfired judgment and see the potential in a guy as good as Cesaro. He sticks out like a sore thumb as someone to watch. And yet...he's "boring."
Modern day ADD culture is pretty f***ing boring, if you ask me. WATCH OUR SHOWS NO WAIT SCREW THAT DICK AROUND ON YOUR PHONE NO WAIT NEVERMIND WATCH THE WWE APP ON YOUR IPOD. People are struggling to get over due to the booking and short match times, so why not throw another obstacle at them by encouraging your fans to not even pay attention to the freakin' tv, now?
WWE has so much going for them right now with talent and internal improvements made since the beginning of this decade, but they just can't get it together.
