I thought Ed Norton was a great Bruce Banner. He had it down pat. He just was too controlling.

I have an honest question and it's not an intention to troll. Does anyone else get distracted by Ruffalo as Banner? I look at him only to find myself wishing it was Edward Norton still. Norton, despite what happened in terms of the Incredible Hulk production, along with the contract issues, he still visually represented what I envisioned in my head as Bruce Banner. He just looks exactly how Banner should look in my eyes. Very unassuming, quiet, somewhat frail looking, and him wearing the glasses along with the lab coat in his government issued identification card was truly spot on visually. I felt like Norton was a bit too handsome (Best word I can use) to be this super-smart scientist. Not as bad as Denise Richards as Christmas Jones, certainly, but sort of in the same vein. Ruffalo feels a bit more of a natural fit. Claudia Kim as Dr. Helen Cho is, IMO, more gorgeous than any other genius level person in the MCU and that did not seem to distract anyone from her role in the film.

James Gunn has revealed that Kang the Conquerer is part of the Fantastic Four license and thus, can't be used by Marvel.

I don't like that they changed Banner to a one dimensional science nerd in Ultron. I think that harmed the Hulk / Black Widow romance, which could have been really interesting.
Imagine if it was the Hulk, and not Banner, that was in love with Widow? What conflict that could have created between the two, which can be explored in later movies. Banner doesn't want the Hulk to come out, because of the damage he causes, yet Hulk wants to come out to be with Widow.

I honestly didn't read all 64 pages of this, but something bugged me about the Black Widow/Hulk relationship. I don't care that they are together, I'm fine with that, but isn't Hulk already with Betty Ross? Was this simply ignored, or did I miss an explanation for it when I ran to the bathroom (it was a long freakin movie and I was also sick and groggy while watching it) ?

Though the fact that the Hulkbuster was dubbed "Veronica" in the film might be an allusion to Betty (as in "Betty and Veronica".)

They'll hopefully be some closure on this aspect now that we have General Ross in Civil War

Bumped this up after a conversation I had the other night. It seems like there wasn't a lot of lasting buzz for this movie. Maybe it's because the first Avengers was such a huge act to follow, but it really seemed like the general reaction to this movie was "Hey, Avengers! Let's go see it! Ok we saw it, what's coming out next?"
It's obviously made a ton of money but it didn't seem to really "hit" with the general audience like Marvel's crown jewels (Iron Man, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy) did.

I just saw this last week. I went in with low expectations due to the drop off in buzz, but it blew me away. Liked it as much as the 1st.

Joss Whedon even said his intention wasn't to top the first Avengers. I think a lot of people were expecting this huge epic again, in the process, went in with these high expectations. Joss also said he wanted to make this film more personal, deeper, emotional, and scaled back on the effects and visuals in order to present a better story. I also think a lot of people just the story wouldn't end here and their anticipation is more for Civil War and Infinity War.

Plus the buzz is still there in actuality. People are obviously still seeing it and it's still making money, if it wasn't there, then it would be dropping a lot quicker than it is. I can only imagine how much buzz and excitement it would've been if Joss was able to include Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel in the end like he originally wanted.

And yeah, I'm really feeling that my almost completely spoiler-free approach and tempering my expectations helped a lot. It was always a funny situation where making an ungodly amount of money was expected, so some people aren't blown away there despite it making silly amounts.

And to add, the movie was only out for a week before people starting freaking out over Civil War set pics. This is the problem with Marvel's movies, that audiences barely get a chance to digest one before they're supposed to be excited about the next movie in the product line. I don't understand why they were freaking out over Captain America set pictures. It's not like they showed Black Panther, Spider-Man(Who will be in the film), or anything that is being kept secretive.

i have a few questions maybe you guys can help me out with. ill spoil it just in case {Spoiler}1. Was the final Ultron made from Vibranium completely or just partially if at all?
2. If someone rips the Mind Stone from Vision will he become Ultron? He was mostly Ultron with a percentage of Jarvis. I assume the mind gem helped the balace out.
3. How was Ultron able to feel pain from Scarlet Witch's heart ripped move? I assume that Tony and Banner compied the readings that Jarvis gave them from the mind gem and created Ultron based on those reading patterns and sprinkled in Tony's personality in there (Jarvis has a smart mouth sometimes). I just don't get the pain part, just cuz? Because I'll buy that.
4. Did Ultron have speakers in there somewhere so he can speak?
5. Vision has can control his cells at a molecular level and that's why he could make that cape and have a suit, correct?
