...... You all saw what I saw right? That wasn't a hallucination? That actually happened? It's really scary, when you really sit and think that, a group of people who's job it is to be creative and write good TV all agree that's the next step for Ryback.... Now, I like Ryback, I wouldn't say I was a fan but I like the dude but seriously, who the hell did he piss off backstage for this? This is reaching Ryder levels of burial. Ryder defended his US title injured, and managed to kick out of 2 gutwrench powerbombs before losing to Jack Swagger. Ryack quit after a dropkick to the knee from The Miz. This may be worse.

I can't believe HOW much he is made to look like a bitch. He's basically a comedy jobber now.

I completely forgot about that. This is pretty much his "Running away from Nexus" moment but I doubt he can recover like Sheamus did. Welp, if Ryback get's released any time soon I've got all eyes on his twitter account, should make for an entertaining evening.

September 24, 2012:
...and just last night:
It's even funnier watching it! Oh, what a difference nine months makes, eh?
Sidenote: Interesting that the winner is wearing green in both of these. Maybe RyBack should go back to the green singlets...

This is about as thorough and absolute a burial as there's ever been one. It's not enough to have him verbally submit to a dropkick, but to verbally submit to a dropkick to the one guy who may simultaneously be the least threatening, the least technically sound, and least masculine person in WWE right now. This shit makes Ryder and Santino look like Evolution-era Orton and Batista. It's obvious they don't give a f*** about his career, because I don't know how the hell he comes back from this.

I actually have a feeling that this is the WWE thinking they're doing something new and interesting, without realizing that they're actually burying someone's career.

To be fair, it was one hell of a dropkick.

If Ryback had beaten Miz, we'd be having this same conversation about how much MIZ has fallen.

Even quitting via ref stoppage, while extreme would still not be all that out of the question with the booking if the roles were reversed.

If Ryback had beaten Miz, we'd be having this same conversation about how much MIZ has fallen. Ryback is a man that just pinned Cena clean at the last PPV, while Miz likely won't even be able to beat Curtis Axel at MITB. So no, I don't think the convesation would be the same if the rolls were reversed. Not to mention, most people here don't even like Miz, so I doubt the topic would have even come up if he lost.

I like both the Miz and Ryback but that was definitely kinda weird. I'm not sure if it's really gonna "kill" his career/gimmick though, since we seem to remember things that others don't. Basically, I don't think this a "he'll never recover situation".

What I meant was that The Miz, like Ryback, was a guy previously touted as the Next Big Thing only to take a sudden awkward downturn in booking. Ryback just pinned Cena clean. And it is quite odd that he randomly forfeited a match to the Miz. But had Ryback gone over Miz, Miz would then be a former WWE Champion who is now a spoke on the Wheel of Aggression, a role normally (and imo unfortunately and unfairly) reserved for the likes of Zack Ryder and Justin Gabriel.

Well Miz has kind of been in that role for a while now, so I'm kind of used to it.

I didnt mind Hell in a Cell because the situation called for him to lose. But since then, his booking has been shocking, and theyve absolutely wrecked him.

I cant take him seriously ever again after last night. I was never a fan but the guy is a monster, no way should he be quitting a match (to the miz of all people) just because Miz worked on his leg. Hes pathetic in Kayfabe.

This is a clear set-up to turn Tons of Funk into a 3-man team to take on The Shield/The Wyatt Family.

Just throwing this out there, but maybe Ryback is going to be taking a "vacation" shortly? Start with an "injury", loses to Jericho (because if Jericho is going to keep putting everyone over, he DOES need to win some of these types of matches), then gets destroyed by the Wyatt Family. Just a thought...
