Reports are saying the Jets will sign Brady Quinn because why the f*** not?
And it's official: @nyjets: The Jets have signed QB Brady Quinn and released QB Graham Harrell.

I said The Jets would be 1-15. Now that's sounding lenient.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen says he may wait until Sunday to name a starting quarterback for Week 1 against the Colts. Typical Raider move if this uncertainty is true, however you gotta believe they already know who's starting and they're trying to keep it a mystery for some sort of competitive advantage.

Typical Raider move if this uncertainty is true, however you gotta believe they already know who's starting and they're trying to keep it a mystery for some sort of competitive advantage. At this point I don't know if it matters. Unless they seriously upgraded their o-line, which I don't think they did, the general defensive plan against the Raiders will probably be the same regardless of who is in at QB. Linebackers focusing on stopping McFadden first and screen passes second, DTs and DEs defending against the run on the way to the QB, and confusing the o-line with variable blitz packages are probably going to be focuses in the defensive playbook. They just don't have any receivers that I think can really threaten defenses significantly, a porous O-line that will probably force the Raiders to play short ball again this year, a defense that last year forced Carson Palmer to constantly try to play catch up, less experience at several key positions, and many key starters that don't have histories of playing entire seasons.

Brady Quinn to jets. Makes their offense better at least Sadly, that is probably true. Quinn by this point has shown that he is a poor-man's Kyle Orton, but Orton would be the runaway choice to start on the Jets right now. Remember, despite his limitations he still has more career wins than any Jet QB as well as a more career wins than losses despite playing some lackluster teams, so he manages games far better than Sanchez does.

USA Today reports Broncos LCB Champ Bailey's (foot) Week 1 status likely won't be decided until game time Thursday night.
Raiders coach Dennis Allen says he's not naming a Week 1 quarterback starter "for competitive reasons."

Super Bowl 49ers vs Patriots
I don't know who wins that, though.
Also, earlier in this thread, I may have picked the Giants to win the East...but the more I think about it, the more I doubt it. Cowboys defense takes a step up this year and they win the division

How do you have the Colts with only 5 wins? They have shored up many of their weak spots from last year, the offensive stars from last year are more seasoned, and their schedule isn't that bad.
Win-able games Wk 1 vs. Raiders Wk 2 vs. Dolphins Wk 4 at Jaguars Wk 6 at Chargers Wk 10 vs Rams Wk 11 at Titans Wk 12 at Cardinals Wk 13 vs Titans Wk 14 at Bengals Wk 16 at Chiefs Wk 17 vs Jaguars
Tough but potentially winnable (remember that Luck was much better at home) Wk 5 vs Seahawks Wk 15 vs Texans
Likely losses Wk 3 at Niners Wk 7 vs Broncos Wk 9 at Texans
Now, I don't expect them to win all of the winnable games, but I expect them to win many of them and at least 1 of the tougher games. Expecting them to match their 11 wins from last year is aiming a little high but if they avoid the injury bug in general I would say it is doable. Having said all of that, I figure that they will miss the playoffs with a 9-7 record, but as a fan I hope for better.
