I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Jets are going to suck in hilarious fashion.

Indianapolis has cut rookie TE John Boyett after he assaulted a cop over the weekend and while being arrested screamed "You can't arrest me, I'm a Colts player" -NFL.com As Pat McAfee said on the radio this morning, "I know for a fact that the police can arrest Colts players!" Honestly, I am not shocked that he was released. The guy would be deep in the bench even if he was healthy and while the Colts as an organization will tolerate players getting drunk and getting arrested (as McAfee could tell you) they are not tolerant if you demonstrate that you are not willing to learn from your mistake. Declaring yourself immune from arrest and fighting with the cops pretty well screams, "I feel that I don't need to learn from this!"

49ers OLB Aldon Smith and Titans TE Delanie Walker were named in a Tuesday lawsuit that claims the two "illegally fired weapons on numerous occasions" during a June 2012 house party.
Ronndale Esporlas filed the lawsuit in Santa Clara (CA) County. Esporlas was shot at the party which was hosted at Smith's house. Both players reportedly began to fire multiple shots into the air while standing on a balcony in an effort to get party-goers to leave. Walker then allegedly made his way to the driveway and fired more shots into the air and toward party attendees. If you remember correctly, this is the same party Smith was stabbed at after trying to break up a fight. Who knows if anything more will come of this.
Updating a previous item, the Cowboys signed G Brian Waters to a one-year contract worth up to $3 million.

Geno will have Jets fans longing for the glory days of Mark Sanchez after the 1st quarter or so.

I HATE that the Bills are starting EJ Manuel in the opener so soon after his knee surgery. We weren't going to beat the Patriots anyway so why rush him back and possibly injure him further and more seriously and cut his potential down before he has a chance to reach it?

Maybe whoever the Bills coach is(seriously who is the Bills coach?) has been possessed by the poltergeist that got Mike Shanahan last season.

I hated this move so much since it was nothing more than a PR move to try to get more people from the Syracuse area to come to Bills games. He did absolutely nothing there to warrant a NFL coaching gig.

FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reports the Broncos will use a running back by committee for the "foreseeable future" until Montee Ball can master pass protection.
Broncos LCB Champ Bailey (foot) has been ruled out for Thursday night's season opener against the Ravens.
A source tells the New York Post that Mark Sanchez (shoulder) is expected to miss at least the first two weeks of the regular season.

Sucks that we won't have Champ tomorrow, but if it means having him for the long term (hopefully, at least) then so be it.

He did absolutely nothing there to warrant a NFL coaching gig. You're talking about a team that kept Chan Gailey for three years. Better a virtual unknown than kicking the tires on a guy who's already shown that he can't get the job done (Romeo Crennel, Norv Turner etc.).
