New trailer. Looks a little better, and there's definitely the vibe about the movie that I posted about awhile back. I have a feeling though that it will still be hidden though because "EXPLOSIONS!"

Looks like Iron Man.
I'll pass.

Looks pretty good, as long as the message doesn't get completely tossed aside for action. I think they've got that on lock, though. I'll likely see this.

As long as it doesn't open against anything serious - it'll recoup + 30%, at least.
Robocop fans will see it no matter what. The cast it strong enough to draw in more people and the big budget sci-fi aspect of it all isn't so complex and out there that people won't get it right away.
All that being said, I'll take a pass until its on Netflix instant.

I know this is pretty minor all things considered but I hate that his hand is exposed.

Just saw the trailer for the first time when I went to see Thor 2 last night... and while I've never given a crap about the classic Robocop stuff, I'll definitely be seeing this.

You think there's significant overlap in the potential audience? If so, then yeah, cause that Lego movie is gonna crush it

While the second trailer does look somewhat better I'm still not getting my hopes up.

They're going for a different theme here. The central question of this movie is: Is the man or the machine in control? This is dropped multiple times in the trailer, they bring it up over and over again. It's not a flat out robot anymore. It's them trying to program over the top of Murphy while still giving him the illusion of control. If the first movie was an allegory of blatant consumerism eating us alive, this one's about the more subtle ways corporations steer our daily lives without us even thinking about it.
By the way, I'm willing to put money on the big twist being OCP planted the car bomb that killed him. Seems like the most obvious twist in the world even this far out.

Looks like it could be good, doubt it will have the same charismatic villains the first had though.
