Not really getting any fat-shaming out of this. It comes across more as someone, proud of their fitness, posting a pic of what they have accomplished. I think rather than a dig at people who aren't totally fit, the tagline and use of her kids is just to highlight that even after giving birth to three humans, you can still maintain fitness.

I'm personally not offended but I read the responses and I get why some people are. I don't understand why this is news worthy. Can't we just call her an asshole and go about our day?

You know, we're kind of having a discussion here...can we please stop with the short, content-less comments about the thing? Just writing "I see nothing wrong" or "I see something wrong" and stopping there makes it come across like you haven't read the thread, since it's a way of not taking part in the discussion.
I've seen a few people now distinguish between "lazy people shaming" and "fat people shaming", and outside of personal interpretation I'm curious how one might see the former but not the latter. It's a recent mother/fitness model in super tight, short clothing showing off her body and just writing "what's your excuse?"; what else could it be? The message is her body, not her lifestyle, and the target of the ad is people's feelings toward their bodies, not their lifestyles.

Heh, whatever, it's more bragging than insulting in my opinion. Also, it's on a Facebook page so really, there is no reason to do anything other than ignoring it and move on. If we had to start a riot for every ignorant thing posted on social media, we would be never doing anything else. Kang's response to the negativity sounds far more douchey than the actual poster.
Honestly, I am more baffled that a news outlet thought this was worth reporting.

She's a narcissistic bitch? It's from her personal FBook, if that's the case anyone that posts any sorta thing they're proud of on their own page is narcissistic Yeah but I'm sure she has friends with kids that aren't that fit and would probably take offense to that. Another good reason why I'm considering giving up Facebook. It's nothing more than a "yay! me!" tool.

I'm not getting the "she's just proud" camp. Proud is posting a before/after. Not challenging people in a condescending manner.
And I feel like it being a ploy to sell stuff is getting lost. Marketing to women this way needs to stop.

You know, we're kind of having a discussion here... Yeah, a really bad discussion with people making unsubstantiated assumptions and people calling this lady a "lazy gold digging c***". This lady is clearly confident, not arrogant.

Hum... what? I'm sorry but since when are people supposed to refrain from posting if some people are having a discussion? Last I checked, a forum is made for people to share their opinions and say what they want about specific topics and no, people do NOT need to read the entire thread to feel free to post. People not taking part in said discussion does not in any way prevent you from taking part in it so I don't see why you'd even bring that up. I'm sorry but it seriously bothers me that someone, a mod no less, would tell people to only post things that they find relevant to themselves.

No, there is no rule saying what I'm saying, and I didn't say anything about enforcing rules or handing out warnings. However, it nonetheless comes off as disrespectful when the majority of posters are having a conversation, and a short, curt response carries with it a tone of "I have no read any of your responses and will not address them". It's not a rule, but it's politeness within discourse.

Please point it out to me, because language like that directed at a person has no place in any discussion here.

It's not a rule, but it's politeness within discourse. But that's just how forums work: a subject is posted and people react to it. Maybe some people take part in one specific discussion, maybe they just want to drop their two cents. I don't see how not taking part in a discussion they have nothing to contribute to is impolite. I don't even understand why anyone would expect everyone else to drop what they were about to say to take part in it. Heck, if anything I find it far more impolite, not to mention self-centred, to tell people to stop posting what they want because it's not what you like. I mean, how would you like it if someone asked you to stop having a discussion because it hogs the thread and they find it disrespectful towards people who don't want to scroll through several posts of discussions? Have your talk if you want but don't give people crap for not doing things your way, especially if it's not the aim of the thread.

Like others have said it's harder to get in amazing shape like this Lady is when your job isn't directly related to working out. Also there are a lot of people who do work out a lot and are pretty healthy, but are still a little overweight because of their body type. So for some people looking as fit as this woman is just unrealistic.

It's just further proof that people these days will get offended by the slightest thing/anything they choose to. She looks amazing, credit to her. I'm a out of shape blob, but I could never be offended by someone saying the same to me. I have no excuse!

"What's your excuse?"
....
Reasons I can think of to be "fat":-
Actually not wanting to be technically underweight because you do your damn reseaarch A thyroid problem Having overcome an eating disorder HAVING an eating disorder Not being able to afford a gym membership Having some problem that keeps you from being able to do lots of exercise (arthritis etc) Being happy at an average physique
I know people with people with perfectly normal bodies who would be caused some distress by seeing bullshit like this.

Ok. And how about the simpering cows who have none of these problems? What are their excuses? Stupidity? Laziness? Too busy getting offended by facebook? Too busy whining about it's "too hard"? Too preoccupied with trying to bring down someone who took it upon themselves NOT to make excuses? And it isn't like you HAVE to be a skinny pro athlete to be in good health. No. THAT is one the baseless assumptions made by the clowns and the commenters. Furthermore, average physique =/= being fat, and you do not need a gym membership to improve your health. So these are invalid excuses. You'd think this lady was giving you all the finger in her photos. People are afraid of hard work, and then get pissed when other people succeed. What hypocritical jealousy.

It's hard to deny that it's not something pushed by a lot in the fitness business though. There's a lot of fitness advertising that centers around giving people that image as what's healthy, or trying to shame people who don't push themselves to unhealthy extremes.

However, people MUST understand that advertisements are meant to make a company money not educate. This is imperative when it comes to your health

"What's your excuse?" A job and real life problems. I'm sure a lot of women would be in better shape if they were suburban housewives who didn't have little things like a 40-hour work week and finances that don't allow for organic everything. But yeah, such slobs they are. I work 48 hours a week and lost 20lbs in 6 weeks going for a 30 minute run 3 times a week and not eating crap. I had never ran a day in my life before hand, I went from running 1 minute, walking 1 minute to running for 30 minutes without stopping during those 6 weeks, and ran a 5k in 24:12 after those 6 weeks of "training". If you really want to do something about weight, it's simple. Don't tell me you don't have time for a 30 minute run. Not eating the crap saves you money - people say Organic stuff is healthy, nah, it's the bad stuff thats expensive. I can buy a bar of chocolate for 60p that will last me 2 minutes but I could buy this tub of mushrooms for 80p that will go towards 3-4 meals. Or I could buy this iceberg lettuce for 80p, the list goes on and on. That full fat coke is £2 a bottle but I could buy this double orange concentrate which mixes with water and have it for 2 weeks before I need another one, for less than £1.50.
