I wouldn't mind if Punk won, since he is my favorite. But Bryan winning makes a lot more sense. Which is probably why it's not going to happen.

People, they've been pushing the Orton-as-chosen-corporate-champ storyline since Summerslam, and they just had him unify the world titles via a cleanish win over Cena. They're not blowing off the angle a month or two before Wrestlemania. True, but that doesn't mean we can't hope.

Sadly it seems obvious Punk will win the Rumble and face Orton at Mania. I'd prefer Bryan win the Rumble and Punk win the WWE title in the Chamber and we get either Punk/Bryan 1-on-1 or a triple threat.

Cena wins WWE title.
Punk wins Royal Rumble.
Bryan and Orton both f*** off.
WM XXX ends with Punk winning in the main event.

Yeah I don't see why anyone would want to see Bryan vs Orton AGAIN considering their first 3 matches weren't all that spectacular and doing it again as a Mania main event seems like a waste to me.

I agree that it'd be a pretty terrible Mania main event, but it is the natural payoff to this storyline, and they need to at least give this storyline the ending the whole thing's basically been built around. It's not like the million Punk / Orton matches have been any better. Granted, I'm of the, "Ditch Orton and make Sheamus or Cena the chosen champion, or better yet, drop this stupid angle entirely one week with no explanation," camp really, but clearly that's not happening.

don't want orton in the main event at all since it will just be another rematch, but I DO want either Punk or Bryan to win the rumble. That's why I was hoping for some shenanigans tonight, and there would be a triple threat at mania

Difference there is that Orton was the face in all of those matches with Punk

I don't know how they'll do it during the build to Wrestlemania, but I could see a Fatal 4 Way headlining Wrestlemania. Orton/Cena/Punk/Bryan. The Authority puts all their eggs in Orton's basket, but slowly feel he won't win come Mania. They hint towards one of his three opponents aligning with him. Yadda yadda yadda.
If there's anything positive to say about their booking right now, it's that it's not that easy to predict. I assume either Punk or Bryan win the Rumble (probably Punk at this point), but I wouldn't put Cena out of the equation. Or they could convince Rock to come back, win the Rumble then challenge Orton at Wrestlemania, just because.
It's also entirely possible Orton loses the title before Wrestlemania. This is the least likely of options, considering how hard they've pushed him as the Corporate Champion, but I wouldn't put it past WWE.

Do remember this is the same company that built an entire storyline around Austin being run over, then finding out over the course of a year that Triple H orchestrated the entire thing. They brawled for months & looked to be headed to a Wrestlemania blowoff match, only for it to happen at No Way Out. Later that night, Rock beats Kurt Angle & Rock/Austin is the WM main event. Granted, that worked out in the long run, but seemed kind of random at the time.
It's entirely possible Orton loses the title before Wrestlemania and is somehow not involved in the WM main event.

Hopefully this is a real good show, since I'll be there. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't be too into this show right now.

Punk is essentially unbeatable these days; it's very much becoming "LOL PunkWins!". I hate saying that because I love him so much but he rarely loses these days, hell, he just won a 3-on-1 match & most go crazy when Cena wins a handicap match - I know I did recently when he beat the Real Americans by himself. I could easily see Punk winning the rumble match as they treat him like one of their biggest stars - unlike Bryan - & it's another notch on Punks career before he retires in the next few years.
Another match I could see happening is HHH vs. Orton for the Undisputed Title. They build up tension between the two but I don't expect it to go all the way until Wrestlemania, so this seems like a good place to have a match while Cena is in the rumble match this year. I wouldn't be surprise if HHH came out on top either, just so they can have HHH vs. Punk for the title headline Wrestlemania.

No chance in Bryan winning, i think its been made perfectly clear by the company he is not what they want at the top of the card. I expect he will have turned heel by rumble time and side with the Wyatts. I predict Cena, Punk or Triple H to win the Rumble.

I would have rather seen Cena/Bryan at Mania, but Bryan getting his first fair shot at Orton and winning the title would be pretty sweet.
I would be willing to bet money on Bryan winning the Rumble right now. Punk is a close 2nd, and I assume Cena will have some kind of rematch with Orton at the PPV anyway.

He did spend the better part of the year losing at PPVs (Payback excepted for hometown reasons), to be fair.

I haven't been so excited for a Rumble as I am now. This is going to be my first time seeing the Royal Rumble live at Consol. FINALLY Pittsburgh gets a BIG show.
