It's like you deliberately made this thread just to say Bryan has no chance at winning the Rumble. I made this thread to ask people who is going to win the Royal Rumble based on the booking of the Rumble Match itself; wins like Benoit's and Del Rio's have put me in the mindset that if a person's storyline is heavily about the Rumble match, then they have a chance to win it. I brought up Daniel Bryan because I knew, (and I was right), that most people would still pick him to win. Again, I am a Daniel Bryan fan, but right now not only is he not officially entered in the match, but he's coming off the heels of a concussion. I can't realistically expect him to win with all the information presented to me. "What makes sense" is subjective, even for me. And to me, it's obvious that Batista is winning; only Punk has been presented as someone else who could win it, but like people said, he's most likely taking on Trips at Mania. Meanwhile, I can definitely see Batista in title matches against Orton, Cena, AND Lesnar. Daniel Bryan's chances will insanely increase in my eyes if he cuts a promo tonight that revolves around the Rumble match. He'd become a dark horse candidate to win because WWE apparently just dropped their midcard Bryan storyline with Bray that was going all the way to Mania. I highly doubt they're going to change whatever main event plans they have for Mania just as easily, and it's obvious Bryan was never part of it, but I have no right to assume they WON'T, either. This picture represents my mindset right now; Batista has this thing in the bag, but DAMMIT that kid D-BRYAN is somehow still hanging in there.

I can't believe how many think Bryan is going to win the Rumble this year. I give posters here too much credit.

I can't believe how many think Bryan is going to win the Rumble this year. I give posters here too much credit. Because it's the most logical outcome from a business and story line sense. Batista will return, eliminate some huge hoss jobbers like Khali and Henry or whatever, be in the final 4 or 3 and get eliminated by someone they are setting up a program with. Bryan will win.

Yeah it's insane to think a guy who's been a consistent main eventer and closed out Raw over the past few months wouldn't win the Rumble. It's stupid to even think that the most over guy on the roster, who closed out Raw last night having the ENTIRE ARENA chanting with him, and whose entire storyline for months has been "This guy deserves to be champ but can't get a fair match" might possibly win a match that guarantees him a title shot.

WWE didn't bring Batista back to have him wrestle heatless Del Rio at Wrestlemania. He's winning the Rumble and facing the WWE Champion at Wrestlemania. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional. Yeah, WWE would never be dumb enough to throw a big returning star at Del Rio for months, tell 'em RVD...... oh.

Why are some people having such a hard time believing Bryan will win? He is pretty much guaranteed to.
And this isn't a Jericho in 2012 kind of guarantee, because this entire thing is way bigger. There's no way they don't capitalize on such momentum. Yes,it's WWE,but at this point even they have to do the right thing.

This thread is invalid because it was made under the premise that Daniel Bryan's story has nothing to do with the Rumble. He's been chasing the WWE title since he got screwed at Summerslam.

I'm not understanding why so many people think it's out of the question that Batista is winning the Rumble. He's been the whole focal point of the build up to the rumble match, so is it really that unreasonable to assume? It's not unreasonable. I just think some people are hoping that the fact that Bryan is the hottest act in the company right now supersedes whatever silly deal WWE has in place with Batista. Because if not, it sends a horrendous message to the locker room; a dude walking in off the street, years removed from being a draw, to get a title shot in a match no one gave a shit about 8 years ago when it was supposed to Main Event WrestleMania 22. Bryan is the sentimental favorite of the vast majority for a reason. Its an organic popularity that deserves the proper storyline ending at the biggest show of the year. Batista doesn't need the title. His legacy is cemented. Right now, Bryan has a one day reign under his belt and an unresolved arc in proving the Authority wrong. It's his time now.

Don't get me wrong, I think it should be Bryan's time now and absolutely want him to win the rumble. I just don't have the confidence in them actually doing it, especially when they telegraphed more than ever tonight that Batista is winning.

Daniel Bryan has been fighting hillbillies since November. Besides, I think tonight does more to validate this thread than invalidate it.

Yeah, if reverse momentum means anything, then Del Rio will definitely be eliminating DC Dave at the Rumble to screw him out of a shot.
Plus the mediocre response to his return doesn't really bode well for him being in a big time mania match for the title. Tista fighting for the title in the last match of the night at Mania would have no heat, especially if it's against Orton. Cats acting like DC Dave is entitled to a title shot like he's The Rock. Bruh hasn't been in a draw in almost ten years.

Who do I want to win? Daniel Bryan with out a question.
Who is going to win? Batista.
To me it is obvious, especially after tonight. If the newz is true then DB was going to be in a match with Bray at Wrestlemania. I still think that will be true they just changed the angle it self to follow a few things that happened. With that being said Batista was always going to win and they won't change that.
However I do expect Bryan to be champion by years end.

Although with Punk being number 1 it might be him. Think about it, there is drama between Orton and The Authority. Batista loses but gets a match at EC with Orton. The Authority tired of Randy's crap screw him over and let Batista win. CM Punk being the Royal Rumble winner also discovers there is a conspiracy against him by The Authority and him and Batista have their match at Wresltemania.

Yeah I'm surprised there's this many people who think Bryan will win. He hasn't even been announced for the Rumble match yet.

I'm holding out hope Bryan is the surprise 30th entrant and wins, but it's seeming less and less likely.

Man I swear, all 30 entrants could enter and there'd still be some people here thinking Bryan was gonna be the surprise 31st entry

Besides, I think tonight does more to validate this thread than invalidate it. I agree with that after seeing tonight's Raw . But it also validates how stubborn and stupid WWE is. I still hold out hope that Bryan gets into the Rumble and wins, but if he's not even in it, I have no idea what WWE is thinking and have very little interest in where they're going. Who could possibly care about an Evolution circle jerk in 2014?
