Consider this: One hand you have a walking meme generator who's doucheiness radiates through the TV screen, on the other you have somebody so devoid of charisma and intrigue that he causes entire crowds to fall silent at his mere approach. You combine these two things and you have something so amazing, yet so bland, so bad, yet so good that it exceeds all ability to be analyzed. There are no true words to describe, it is anomaly in the universe of wrestling that we simply cannot comprehend. It is almost...beautiful. This coming feud may very well make us question our purpose as wrestling fans.

I so want to see them do an angle where Del Rio leaves a flaming bag of dog crap at Batista's doorstep, rings the doorbell and runs off.

It has to be changed from 'Conway Pop' to 'Alberto Pop', that deadassed arena died completely when Alberto's music hit.

I'm going to sound like I'm being an ass, but I sincerely mean this. You could hear the crowd booing Batista through his intro. They were going to let him have it for the third straight week. When Del Rio came out, the energy turned off so freaking fast it was like someone flipped a switch. They sat in silence for 3-4 minutes before something actually happened. Most impressive thing Del Rio has done in 4 years. Seriously.

The thing that got me was Batista was trying to reason with Del Rio at the start. That's not what a big douchey musclehead should be doing. Just try to kick the guy's ass.

They should have Alberto Del Rio and Batista be a tag team and take over the tag division.
It appears that the WWE universe is clamoring for something like that.

Del Rio is a human white noise machine. He cancels out sound immediately

I can't lie, I'd mark if they continued doing what they've been doing with Del Rio trying to feud with Batista and Batista just being like "what the f*** is this guys deal? Who is that?"

I found his sincere bewilderment pretty funny. "dude....you don't get it, like I really don't care about any of this, at all. what are you even doing here?" And vintage Del Rio just kept calling him a perro and making really awkward threats. I agree with the OP, there is something special going on here, in a morbid, unintentional way.

It's a curious feud because Del Rio's disdain for Batista simply waltzing back to WWE and main eventing WM rings true with a lot of the fans, hence Big Dave's mediocre reactions. This Batista return has been an epic, monumental flop. No one wants to see him in this spot right now.

I still don't think Del Rio is charisma-less.

You guys made me realize that Del Rio is WWEs equivalent of Anne from Arrested Development. It makes perfect sense.

No, Alberto is! No, Batista is! No, AJ is! It's Daniel Bryan!

I said it in the Raw thread but I believe that they threw Del Rio out there to ensure Batista didn't get boos or have someone else's name being chanted over him. There is no way in hell McMahon can be that out of it to hear that crowd die during Del Rio segments every single week.

Berto's promo reminded me of what Punk would say about The Rock ... so ... maybe that's where they're going with except with two people that nobody cares about...

Very fascinating feud. Both guys getting pushed so hard yet the reaction form the crowd isn't strong. Both paid a lot of money and seemingly going through the motions.
Not to mention them wearing the same clothes tonight. Embarrassing.

I was laughing my ass off at Alberto doing his best Cena impersonation about how the Rock Batista hadn't been around for 4 years while, he was here winning all the titles.
