I learnt that ECW branded some of it's 1994 TV shows as 'OJ-free TV'
Is this because at the time everyone was talking about the murder trial?

It was EVERYWHERE, so it makes sense that it'd be a selling point to be able to watch something and not have to sit through shitty monologue jokes about it, or comments about a white Bronco.

When Bertha Faye debuted (the night after WrestleMania XI) to attack Alundra Blayze, she looked like her much better Rhonda Singh character. A few weeks later, when she has her first match on Raw, she's been retooled to look like the Bertha Faye we remember. I think the Bertha Faye comedy character was not the original intention. Also, I believe this was the first instance of someone debuting on the Raw after WrestleMania, with Mankind debuting the following year. That could be a trivia question I suppose. That would be quite interesting to look into, "night after Wrestlemania" debuts! She definatley wast the original intention because they did a photo shoot of her in the Monster Ripper gear and according to Singh they originally wanted to do Ripper vs Bull (which was hot in japan years before) while Madusa went out and had surgery.. then Madusa would return and perhaps it was a 3 way angle, but Bull got found in possesion with cocaine and she was basically out the door. But instead Madusa had surgery anyways went away for a while, the angle was mentioned all of twice in between Mania and Summerslam, then Blayze dropped the belt to her at Summerslam..

The atom smasher was actually a pretty cool finisher Which one was that again? Sounds familiar. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYstra7gNm4I can't find the one where he totally lays down looks a lot better then this one. I don't know why later he switched it to a pumphandle slam

All Bret had to do at the 1994 Rumble was tag in Owen but no, he was too damn SELFISH! Good on Owen for standing up for himself.

The Blue Blazer: Well Mean Gene, that heavy belt is going to keep the Million Dollar Man firmly on the ground. Me? I intend to go airborne. From the top rope, from the ring post, from the rafters if I have to.
yeah...

Watching the May 22 1995 RAW. Lot of early Attitude Era vibe the way Bret verbally rips into Lawler. I don't remember ever seeing that.

There's a particular In Your House in early 1996 (could be IYH 7) that watching it recently I thought was very different from the norm at the time too in commentary and language like that episode of Raw.

When ECW turned from Eastern to Extreme it was running on all cylinders for the first few months.

Royal Rumble 1992, New Foundation vs. Orient Express.
Gorilla Monsoon, after Owen finally makes the hot tag: "Jim Neidhart is like a bull in a china closet!"
(It's china SHOP, silly!)
Watching 1993 now. Sounds so odd hearing Sherri's version of Shawn's theme.

Also that the WWE must have cornered the market on the smallest lockers known to man. Otherwise they only picked arenas that had those tiny lockers.
(Yes I know it was a back drop)
But seriously who could use those lockers? Unless my gear was a broom or a mop I wouldn't know what could fit in there.

COTC XXVIII:
Schiavone: "The father of Japanese wrestling, Rikidozo, discovered him..." Heenan: "RikidoZAN"
(Pause...pregnant pause)
Schiavone: "What did I say?" Heenan: "Rikidozo...bozo"
I love Heenan.

2/3 Falls match for the title. If you win one of the falls via DQ and win the next fall by pin or submission you don't win the title because you won one of the falls by DQ
