seeing his "hold bin" at the comic book store we both shop at...dude spends at least 250 bucks whenever he wonders over there to pick it up, his hold is nothing but trades which add up when you have so friggin many of them..
outside of that, i really have no clue what else he would spend his money on so i think he will be ok.

He did buy Joey Mercury that house. Maybe he will get one for other downtrodden superstars.

I think there's a possibility that OP or someone else in the thread is the dude from Punk's Grammar Slam videos who got bottles smashed over his head.

It's funny to see that in less than 24 hours so many people's opinions of CM Punk have completely soured. Every anti-'Punk is a big baby/whiner/loser' post I read basically communicates to me as the reader 'f*** skinny-fat Punk! f*** him up his ass!' It's incredibly fascinating.

Without quite the same language, this has actually been my opinion from the beginning; as far as I know Punk is just acting like a spoiled brat. Even if he has a legit grievance with WWE, which it sounds like he really doesn't, there are far better ways to approach it than he has chosen. I got flamed by a few in the IWC for pointing out how the entire pro-wrestling internet community launched into despair over Punk acting like an unprofessional jerk and walking out in the middle of a show, while so many cheered when Alberto Del Rio actually gave notice he would not renew his contract but would fulfill his remaining obligations. To me Punk is acting like just what his name describes-a punk. But many in the IWC were willing to giving him a pass for it because they adored him from day one and had some vague hope WWE would persuade him to come back, whether he actually wanted to or not, and it sounds like he most certainly doesn't.

What better ways could he have chosen? Coming back and laying down for HHH at WrestleMania? He didn't really f*** anyone over other than his proposed WM opponent, and he even worked an hour in the Rumble in a losing effort, and put over Roman Reigns strong before he left. I fail to see how him coming back to coast out his contract and do a meaningless ego-f*** job would make anything better. And as far as his reasoning goes, the only evidence anyone has is the WM payout thing. He said that in the same interview where he claimed he didn't care that Batista was back and admitted it was Bryan's year. And if the payout thing is his reasoning, it is 100% justified. WWE is shady as f*** to not let these guys know how this will be handled and implemented. They're keeping their talent in the dark. That's horrible. Especially when this one payoff nets these guys sometimes in excess of 6 figures a year, or 7 if you're in a top spot.

The last interview he did was Ariel Helwani is about as close as we're gonna get to have any sort of understanding. I do recall he clearly stated his concern over PPV payouts, which I'm sure is part of his contract. He also acknowledged he never fully healed after WM29 last year and came back too soon (which was because there was a PPV in Chicago that summer).
My big fascination now that he really isn't coming back is who's gonna get the chance to interview when he finally decides to clear the air. I'm thinking it's either Colt, Austin or Charlie Rose. My fingers crossed it's gonna be 'Playboy' Charlie Rose.

I can appreciate that, and if anyone deserves a WM main event it is definitely him, after all he gave for several years straight. But he could just as easily have taken that dissatisfaction to Vince and tried to work out a mutually beneficial situation, not just walked out over it-that is a classic backstage politician move. He was unsatisfied with his pay situation? I appreciate that too-but as far as I am concerned he actually shot himself in the foot by walking out. He has plenty of other opportunities open to him, but almost none of them are going to be able to throw him the kind of money that WWE can; Punk has leverage as long as he is a hot topic, but all Vince has to do is wait it out and Punk's leverage will diminish more and more. And I can especially appreciate that he was feeling the aches and pains after several years of going nonstop-so he should have requested a lighter schedule up to WM and a hiatus afterward to let himself recover, he would have been well within his rights to do so and would not have been the first one. And Punk's actions didn't just upset the internet community; he put his girlfriend, AJ, into the awkward position of having to act as a go between, and he also upended long developed plans for the biggest show of the year. It is just plain immature and unprofessional on his part and there is no excusing it.

Again, it's not like he's in a normal job where you punch in/punch out or are on salary. With the independent contractor thing, that WWE has gotten the lion's share of the benefit from for DECADES by not having to provide any tangible benefits if they don't want to or being able to cut ties with them at any time for any reason. Punk isn't getting paid or getting any other sorts of benefits from leaving in any way.
One can argue that it might've been more honorable or whatever to finish out whatever time with left on his contract. That's a defensible argument if one wants to make it, but it's a different issue from him being a "spoiled brat" or whatever if he's decided he doesn't want to do it anymore. People are hung up on speculating on the guy's reasons, but in all honesty, does it even matter WHY he left? He decided he didn't want to do it anymore and so stopped. He's not getting paid since he's gone, he's not putting himself or others at risk by being out there while hurt, burned out, whatever. Clearly the WWE aren't totally uncomfortable with milking the situation for the chants and such or they'd have just addressed it weeks ago instead of letting it fester or out and out trolling the fans that are chanting. They've made it as much part of the show as much as anything.
But again, if you want to blame someone for talent taking off, blame the company for the way they've got their employment contracts structured.
The guy's in a position where he doesn't have to do what he doesn't want to do. We should all be so lucky. The notice thing is the one and only sticking point that can really be defensible on the other side of the argument.

No one knows what he wants or even if he wants anything at all. Everything is pure speculation. In fact, WWE themselves isn't even acknowledging it or burying him in any real way. That's why I can't take any of the online Punk complaints seriously. No one knows a single thing, yet there's groups of people ready to crucify the guy and call him a "baby" when no real details are known.

It is just plain immature and unprofessional on his part and there is no excusing it. I, as a fan, would like to see a match with him on the card. However, he owes me very little until I pay for something with him being announced for the card, but there is something that needs to be addressed: You, or anyone here, are not privy to all the information for the events leading up to CM Punk leaving. As such you do not know what was said. Whether there was negotiations. What Punk's day to day pain level is. At best you have supposition based on the accounts of those involved. Which has been really little if any. However, you keep using that word "professionally," but you are not defining it, so perhaps there is a disconnect. Punk works for HIMSELF. He is an employee of his own incorporated entity, which is then contracted by the WWE. As such his primary corporate loyalty is to his own brand, first and foremost, and then abiding by the contract. I fail to see how he has not done this. In this manner he has behaved professionally If he had fulfilled the obligations on his end for the contract, then he is not required, professionally or LEGALLY, to continue forward past those obligations, especially if he had disputes with management or anything else. Professionally it would be wise for him to not be around and poison the atmosphere/muddy the waters. Since then it isn't like he has done shoots tearing them apart, or posted twitter and Facebook comments about the incompetence of anyone nonstop. Where has he not been professional? By what professional standards are you holdings him to? Yours, for your job? Odds are you work directly for the company that employs you. That is a different standard. Contracted labor is something else entirely. Further independent contracted labor is even weirder. Now, if you that you feel that his choices were simply unwise, unethical, or simply immature, then perhaps you have a leg to stand on (bah gawd I'd still chop block it to hell and back). So simply say "I don't like it." If you want to qualify it, fine, but explain your goddamned qualifier, because as had been hammered again and again, 'professionalism' is a concept that is more fluid than you would believe. It is like the disparity of ethics and morality.

It's been said before and I'll say it here again.
WWE Superstars aren't employees. They're "independent contractors". WWE has shown, time and again, that they will terminate a worker's contract for any reason they chose. "Our creative department can't figure out what to do you with you?" Terminated. "Didn't keep a drunk legend from making a video game panel interesting?" Terminated. "Upset one of our sponsors?" Terminated. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
Those "contracts" pretty much exist to keep the guys from using their characters outside of WWE. And you'll notice that CM Punk is NOT using his character anywhere else. He's not even tweeting.
And there is no contract *on earth* that could legally force a guy who is injured or physically/mentally unable to perform to continue doing so.
I don't know *why* CM Punk seemingly left the company. But I do know that he, like Austin before him, had every right to make that decision. And after the guy busted his ass entertaining people like me over the past several years, *I* sincerely wish him the best in all of his future endeavors.

I just will never get it.
Punk is a great. I think he's a uniquely talented dude. I'll miss him, for sure if he's done forever, but he doesn't owe me anything. He's not falsely billed on a ticket I've bought. There's no reason to have any expectations of him. He's given you what you paid for.

Always been a fan of CM PUNK and probably always will, but just after seeing whats went down the past 4-5 weeks and now reading about him possibly making his returne shortly, its got me thinking how big of a baby the man himself is. Im not pretending to know what really was going on behind the scenes, nor do i care to know but the fact is the guy is making Millions of dollars to entertain the fans, travel the world, be a celebrity, and live a life most of us could only dream of, whats the big deal? Did he get butthurt because someone was making more money than him, was he upset over his Wrestlemania plans? If thats the case then BOO HOO, its your job!!!! Maybe hes in a position where he can pout and take time off but how many of us could just randomly leave our job because we werent happy, or how many of us are ABLE to? Hes very lucky he is in the position that he is in, which allows him to be a big babby but damn, your a grown man, if your not happy then leave........Quit being a big baby and pouting everytime your frustrated, its life. Provided this is not a work, then he left and did exactly what you wanted him to do if he was unhappy. Also, from what I read, he had completed the number of dates in his contract. With that said, he technically completed what he signed up for and what was expected of him. I will say, more of a personal note, I have been with my employer for 4 years. The longer I am there, the more I get frustrated with the everyday runnings and speak up more to make it a better place. Just wondering if anyone else is in that boat. Sadly, as it is a non-profit agency, there will be no walking out on my part to sit at home.
