Starrcade '89. Nothing on the card but a singles and tag team round robin tournament so you see the same 4 guys/teams wrestle over and over all night. Lame.

Uncensored 1995: Meng and Jim Duggan in a MARTIAL ARTS MATCH. Johnny B.Badd v. Arn Anderson in a "Boxer versus Wrestler match". Randy Savage and Avalanche ends in a DQ after Ric Flair interferes while dressed in drag. This despite the fact the match was billed as no-DQ. There was also of course the famous King of the Road match where Dustin Rhodes and Blacktop Bully both bladed and were fired. They couldn't show the blood either so the match is borderline unwatchable. Ah yes... the first ever PPV I was able to convince my parents to order for me. How I'm still a wrestling fan after that I'll never know - I guess for a 13 year old this show was awesome. Well, when you don't have any standards to compare something to, even rubbish like Uncensored 95 may not look so bad. I started watching wrestling with WCW in 1999, and it's amazing that I sat through the Summer of Suck and wanted more.

WCW Superbrawl 2000 featuring Tank Abbot attempting to murder a dude with a knife. No, no, no. He was just trying to shave Big Al's invisible beard!

A lot of the single brand PPV's are this way. Another PPV I hate is Ground Zero. Some crap from this show: - Scott Putski on PPV - Bleeping cuss words on PPV. - A minis match. - The Headbangers in the second longest match of the show. - Patriot getting a WWF title shot. - A triple threat match with Faarooq, Savio Vega and Crush for the Gang Warz Plus, the Louisville Gardens look like a high school gym. I wouldn't call the Minis match crap. Silly as they may seem, they're pretty incredible athletes and did some great, exciting stuff. Plus, nothing wrong with the Headbangers. They get a raw deal a lot, but they were fun.

I guess I should change it to the Godwinns Another bad PPV I was reminded of is Armageddon 2004. You get Miz vs Daniel Puder in a Dixie Dog fight, Dawn Marie vs Jackie Gayda, the Bashams vs Hardcore Holly and Charlie Haas, the team of Kenzo Suzuki/Rene Dupree, John Cena beating Jesus and Kurt Angle beating Santa Claus.

No, no, no. He was just trying to shave Big Al's invisible beard! That night was one of the greatest. Also the night when James Brown showed up with absolutely no hype whatsoever. Decent Lash Leroux match though.

You know, I ordered that PPV and I have no idea what the main event was. Like, I am coming up completely blank. Was that the PPV that had the JBL / Taker / Eddie Guerrero / Booker T match? Because even if it was I don't think that went on last. Edit: On looking, it was and it did go on last. Alright then.

Starrcade 94
A prime example of the awfulness of the "Hogan & his amazing friends" era
- Vader vs Jim Duggan - Sting vs Avalanche (Earthquake) - Hogan vs The Butcher (Brutus Beefcake) - Mr T vs Kevin Sullivan
THIS is supposed to be WCW's Wrestlemania?.......bitch please

Mind if I nominate Uncensored 1996 and that "Doomsday Cage" match between Hogan/Savage and the Four Horsemen/Dungeon of Doom alliance where the latter got beat with frying pans.

Halloween Havoc 95 is just fantastically awful. I LOVE it though because it was the first live Wcw PPV I ever saw.

The Gardens is one of my absolute favorite venues to watch wrestling. It's not a HS gym...I think it was a minor league pro basketball gym, though it did also host some HS tourneys, haha. Certainly beats Broadbent Arena, which is where TNA ran last year. Broadbent has zero charm or history, whereas the Gardens was a wrestling venue for decades for Memphis/USWA. I'll have to agree here. I've seen shows at both and the only thing I ever remember about Broadbent is how it smelled like a barn in the parking lot

I'm watching Starrcade 94 and it's not too bad. Now Fall Brawl 94 that was garbage. That's an embarrassment to War Games.

Since the HoF started an hour later than I thought (8 instead of 7), I watched an hour of Slamboree 2000, known primarily for the "gay porn poster" of Buff Bagwell and David Arquette defending the WCW Title in the Triple Tiered cage match.
I did laugh when Mark Madden got stuck looking at a bare-assed Ralphus moments after seeing Paisley strip Tammy Sytch of her short mini-dress. Serves that jerk right.
