What has he even done since he came back after losing the title? That terrible Heyman feud, that one awesome match with Brock, that one awesome moment where he punched Triple H, andddddd.... that's it? He called out a fat guy in the audience to fight him. That was probably the highlight of the Heyman feud post-Lesnar. Lashing out at fans was the highlight of Punk's WWE career as a whole for me.

So we got what, an eight month run in which three good things happened. Yeah, I agree. I wish they had kept him out longer, or alternatively, had him leave after Lesnar beat him so he could cool down again and rest his injuries some more instead of risking life and limb working with the likes of Ryback.

I like how his name, his chant, has been the go-to ironic chant for restless crowds lately. Really shows sincere support for the guy.
...Yeah, the WWE universe is mostly over him, too.

I'm not over Punk, sadly. He spinned his wheels after SummerSlam, but still he was my favourite part of RAW every week.
Even with that horrible hairstyle he had. What was up with that?
I still miss Punk.

I miss the most evil man in the world. The shell of himself he came back as last summer pained me to watch. I'm over you people for cheering him when he was supposed to be the General Zod of the WWE. You're to blame. There's no CM Punk anymore because of you.

Punk will always be one of my favorite performers but outside of his three matches with Lesnar, Cena and Undertaker in 2013, Punk hasn't really put forth anything memorable since his series of matches with Jericho and Bryan in 2012. Lots of people experience job dissatisfaction everyday but when you're in the public eye to the level of of a professional wrestler, it's hard not to notice.
I'm glad he did what was right for hungrier talent on the roster and stepped aside unlike the dinosaurs in the dying days of WCW who were clearly coasting and collecting paychecks while the under card suffered.

I'm fine with him gone, Raw doesn't seem much different anyway.

I don't really care that he's gone now. I mean sure when it happened it was huge but after a while things sort have leveled out. Besides, his attitude isn't really that great and given the fact he's apparently even cut off his WWE friends, I'm sure they don't mind that he's gone either.

Straight Edge Society CM Punk was when I started liking him. I honestly feel he started to get lame after that awesome feud with Jeff Hardy because there was not much else you could do with the guy.
The whole shoot thing was captivating, but nothing really changed after that and we saw CM Punk morph into the very thing he was whining about. I have never been a fan of the dudes in ring work and found him to be very talented but cheesy on the microphone.
Yeah, his most memorable time for me was being the guy looking down on people that do drugs, that awesome feud with Rey Mysterio, the Big Show and Jeff Hardy, but then his awful title reigns and sloppy ring work stand out. Oh, there was that time R-Truth threw beer on him, that was cool.
In spite of all his accomplishments, CM Punk never really struck me as "the guy." He was exceptionally good at talking and a good worker sparingly, but nothing fantastic.

He wasn't the badass maineventer he thought he was. We all were entertained by him at some point during his run and he was good to have around but him going isn't really going to ruin the show for me. It's one guy after all and he had done everything.

I'm fine with him gone, Raw doesn't seem much different anyway. I'd argue Raw is better since they aren't wasting 20-30 minutes on aimless Punk segments anymore. Might be one of the reasons Raw is better now; more time for Bryan, Cesaro, Shield and the like.

As far as I'm concerned, lashing out at fans should have been the defining element of Punk's entire run. It's what he's best at. I realize that he doesn't know enough about most of their personal lives to really tear them apart and ruin their lives the way he's capable of, but still. Punk should have been booked as a guy who gets off on ruining people's lives. Like HHH, only he knows how to harness the snarky post-modern zeitgeist (where HHH was fuelled by pure narcissism instead). Punk was the Ubermensch, Cena was the Last Man. They should have run with it. Bryan's an infinitely more likeable human being than Punk, but Punk better fits the "I'm going to burn it all down, I'm going to destroy the system, I don't give a damn." attitude.

Motivated Punk was awesome. His post-title run in 2013 though reminded me of Bret in 95. Decent matches, but sort of directionless midcard stuff.

It's weird reading a lot of these posts and then seeing people insist that Punk is some sort of martyr around here.

It's weird reading a lot of these posts and then seeing people insist that Punk is some sort of martyr around here. I think it's because those that love him, REALLY love him, to-the-ends-of-the-earth style. Hence the theme "Cult of Personality". While those who don't like him just don't get how anybody could be that dedicated/devoted to a wrestler. There are very few people (they exist, but they're rare) who could just take him or leave him.

Go step on a straight edge knife. I'm CM Punk. I don't take any drugs at all and suffer from insomnia which combined with my gruelling schedule makes me look cracked out all the time the company I work for hasn't told me yet if I'll even get my bonus for the biggest show of the year which I count on as my biggest payday of the year. If I walk out it will cause all the fanbase to start chanting for me which will give me negotiating power and put the ball in my court as the company will need me more than I need them. Plus it will give me time to improve my mood and health and not look like I am on day 4 of a meth binge all the time
