If anyone saw "Total Divas" last night, there was a part when Cena was attached to a computer and wouldn't respond to Nikki Bella. I think I know now what he was doing that was so time-consuming. The Five Knuckle Shuffle? It is one of his signature moves after all.

I'll admit I laughed at the push joke, but it just seemed like stereotypical IWC pandering Cena. Jeez though, thank goodness that Wyatt came off looking strong here, they could've ruined the entire story for me had Bray reacted like any other heel there.

I put him on mute after the second or third time he said "let's have some fun." Unfortunately, that means I also wandered away and missed the rest of the segment, and apparently a good performance from the Wyatts in response. Cena's THAT blah for me right now.

I like how Bray no sold the photoshop stuff, said "same old shit" then tore Cena down while building himself up. Wyatt is coming off as a superior performer and character in this and I'm not sure that's the goal here.I love it. He's obliterating every verbally and it's even more noticeable as he's being allowed to play tweener as they openly acknowledge the pops he's getting. Yeah, it feeds into the character well to blur the lines, with him winning people over to his flock. I didn't really mind Cena, and the push joke was actually funny, but it felt like that worked more since it seemed more ad-libbed than the rest. I thought the part where he got serious was actually a marked improvement on Cena's usual serious bizniss promos sense he didn't shout and scrunch up his face, he seemed to be making a genuine point, that Bray needs to show he can fight his battles, and Bray got his response in well, too. I genuinely want to see the cage match, and I think they set up the match well.

Glad someone started this thread. This was exhibit A of *why* Cena gets booed so much. It's horrible and lame and makes him look idiotic. We're now entering an era where guys like Bryan and Shield are getting full-on babyface pops and adulation from crowds. So Cena's dumb-assed half and half routine is stale, painful and unnecessary. I really wish WWE would stop going in this direction with his character. I really want to like the guy, but every time he does these promos it makes me want to see his character obliterated. That shouldn't be the mindset anymore. And Bo Dallas is about to be called up, who does the 'I'm a heel who is a disingenuous and delusional babyface a la 1999 Kurt Angle' schtick to get full-blown heel reactions, which robs Cena of another opportunity to change his character somehow--if not an outright heel, then a heel to those who despise him, but a hero to those who love him. Since that audience reaction is in the DNA of the Bo Dallas 'Bo-lieve' gimmick, it suggests how Cena's presence is another crimping of style when there's someone younger who can do the same job (and in terms of getting heel heat, maybe even a better job?).

I hated that at first but actually liked how the Family no sold it and picked at him based on it. It seemed like a deal where Cena was expecting a certain reaction and when he didn't get it was supposed to be lost. Not that the announcers sold it that way, it just came off that way to me. This is exactly what I came in here to say. Stay out of my head

Cena truly is a professional troll.
A lot of guys worry about their legacy or how history will view them and Cena, along side being a loyal company guy, will most definitely go down in history as the first WWE Superstar that troll'd each and every week.
A very rich troll, but still the trolliest troll to ever troll the WWE.

Bad Photoshop jokes are never funny. It's not wise to say something like that on this forum. That is because our Photoshop jokes are GOOD. This story line I actually like because it will force Cena to actually change up his act. John Cena can't use his jokes or other stupid crap to play mind games with Bray Wyatt. Bray so far in this is looking damn good in this. Especially with the crowd in his hands. I can't wait to see this match up for sure.

John laid a massive turd on that stage. This is way, way, waaaayyyy too early to be tearing down and ridiculing a monster stable like the Wyatts.
Would WWF have pulled this with Undertaker, Mankind, Kane, or Vader? Hell no. Lost some respect for John tonight.

Cena's promo was salvaged only by the fact that Wyatt no-sold it. Beyond that it was the typical kiddie dogshit that people have been ragging Cena about for years. It amazes me that he's been a main eventer for close to 10 years, and in that time he's only ever cut a handful of promos that weren't complete ass. really? Bray looked pissed at the Sister Abigail photo to me.

I wish they'd change his character. Even a small change would be nice. What if they changed his shirt color?

Bray beat his ass Monday. Sure Cena got his kiddie jokes in that the kids laughed at, but Bray countered that better than I think anyone ever has. Will all be for nothing when Cena beats him again in the cage match.

It's the same old shit with Cena.
For someone with his amount of influence in WWE, he doesn't seem to demand better material from the writers.
How many more times can they do the "photoshop the opponent's head onto a woman/baby/animal etc..." bit?
My guess would be....a lot more.

I'm not sure what's worse, Cena's lame ass jokes or the horrible cackling from the morons at the announce table.
