Hey, someone on here did the whole Roman "The Shield" Reigns bit earlier this week. It actually makes sense, Roman's pretty awesome but can't touch Ambrose and Rollins in terms of talent. I'm glad they're both doing their own thing while Roman gets the baby seat he needs to get over. His entrance was f***ing great and the only bummer was seeing the field of the battle royal and knowing he was going to win instantly. I swear, WWE has something with all three of them, and I never would have guessed they'd be subtly screwing the pooch with everybody but Ambrose.

Might as well. No sense in having six months of storylines when you can blow through it all in 30 seconds.
WWE is like having sex with a wicked hot chick. Better climax right away, because if you take it slow and enjoy yourself, she could change her mind at minute and leave for something else.

I kinda wish they decided to give the mega push to Ambrose instead, he reminds me enough of crazy Bryan that he could become a believable World Champion.

Probably for the best. WWE has a bad habit of carrying out things till we hate them.
Better to stop while people still want more.
Nexus's last appearance was as a Otunga/Mcgillicutty tag team on Superstars

I worry for Reigns. He's a perfectly serviceable big guy, but I can just see fans turning on him en masse, like it's starting to happen here, based solely on how WWE will (apparently) be pushing him. And it's early enough in the timeframe for it to hit fever pitch just in time for his (supposed) crowning moment at WrestleMania XXI. I think it's a little too late to get booed at Mania XXI.

I am glad that Reigns kept the Shield theme. Now, the announcers need to call him Roman "The Shield" Reigns.

Best booked thing in the company for 2 years, still a really hot act, ends with a whimper.
Pathetic really.

The fact Reigns doesn't even seem to give a shit about Rollins is really bothering me. This is a guy he was tag champs with, he should be more pissed then Ambrose is. Instead he's more occupied with manipulating Vickie into getting into the Battle Royale. Did he just pass out after Seth hit him the first time and he still doesn't know what happened? Yeah, this annoys me to especially since Reigns was the one that Rollins hit with the chair first... you'd think he'd be a little angrier with him... Hell even if they Reigns say something like he's not concerning himself with Rollins because Dean's going to kill him. (Well not in those words... but still) Ambrose theme was awesome. I'd need to hear more of it but what I did hear was pretty good.

They are BLATANTLY building Triple H vs. Roman Reigns, and don't give a damn about anything else. Why can't WWE do both that and Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose at the same time, so they all interact and continue the story from before? WWE did the same thing with Bryan just "forgetting" about Triple H, Orton, and Batista and facing...... Kane. It really pisses me off so much how they make it seem like Reigns is "above" Rollins and Triple H is the real villain or something. What a way to build up a new heel, right? Because if you have the slimy heel vs. two unstoppable babyfaces, you are making the heel into the face. Seth isn't the Big Show, he's a small (by wrestler standards) flippy/floppy guy.

about Roman keeping the theme song..
i understand why they had to take out the phonetic alphabet part, but damn that was my favorite part....it was similar to Austin's glass breaking or something....soon as I heard that radio voice start up I knew business was about to pick up

Reigns basically has this on easy mode, he keeps all of the Shield traits for himself and the other two have to start from scratch, I hope they don't get lost in the shuffle.

This is the way to go.
I am actually starting not to mind Dean now, but he's gotta tone down a little for me.
Rollins looks like he will do very well in time.
Reigns, well, big muscular roar guy.

Roman was brought up through the WWE system, wasn't he? Seth and Dean can dig into their backlog of moves and mannerisms from their Indy days, if they have to.
Of the three, Roman probably has the most to lose.

Of the three, Roman probably has the most to lose. At least they DO seem to know that if they feud Reigns with Rollins, then that's step 1 to smark fans turning on him. As soon as it really does click that he's Important while the littler guys are Not Important, then it'll happen. Feuding him with HHH will delay the inevitable.

I'll be honest, if the Shield was going to break up... this is the best way to do it. If Reigns and Ambrose continued on as The Shield... it'd fuel rumors of a third member to be added, which if that happened... it just wouldn't be the same regardless of who filled the spot and we'd complain the stable was being watered down with Reigns and Ambrose suffering for it.
Had Ambrose and Reigns remained as a two-man Shield.... we'd still complain about it being watered down and how, by the time, they are disbanded for good... nobody would care about them anymore.
Even if it has dissolved, The Shield remains the most perfectly booked stable in recent history. Ambrose started as the showcase of the group.... they shifted away to make the entire unit unstoppable, then Reigns took the spotlight, then focus started to shift to Rollins, now it's back to Ambrose. Whichever guy needed a push, received it in a way to not take away from the others.... and as soon as one started to overtake the group, the others were given more to do.
And now, with it over, they just ended.... no "parting of ways" or anything, so they can always have Reigns and Ambrose team up again in the future and retain continuity.... or they can stay apart forever and leave the Shield as one perfect gimmick.

It likely wouldn't work as well, but I'd like to hear Reigns get a new intro to his theme. Maybe spell his last name out: "Romeo - Echo - India - Golf - November - Sierra."
