Reigns basically has this on easy mode, he keeps all of the Shield traits for himself and the other two have to start from scratch, I hope they don't get lost in the shuffle. To be fair, they actually have a scratch to start from. Rollins is an amazing wrestler, Dean is an amazing talker, but what is Roman? A generic badass who can't talk and has three offensive moves, two of which are running strikes. He needs the SHIELD stuff a helluva lot more than Rollins and Ambrose do.

Hope so. Ambrose doesn't need to be stuck as Reigns little buddy. I have a feeling he'll lose to Rollins though which will suck and curious to see how he'll bounce back. Ideally he decimates Rollins and moves to the main event. I don't see Rollins being more than Kofi level anyways so don't ruin Ambrose trying to make him something he's not.

We'll look back in time and say breaking up the SHIELD was one of the worst decisions in the post Attitude Era.

We'll look back in time and say breaking up the SHIELD was one of the worst decisions in the post Attitude Era. The Shield needed to end at some point. Where else could they go? Feud with the Wyatts? 3MB? They should've just announced they've done all they could do as a Unit and just gone there separate ways. Reigns feud with HHH, Ambrose go after Orton, and Rollins with perhaps Del Rio or someone. Also, I think Reigns should get Steiner's TNA gimmick of thinking the Shield is still together and just talking about their return every week.

The Shield needed to end at some point. Where else could they go? Feud with the Wyatts? 3MB? Why did they need to end? I'll never understand this idea that since WWE only has so many teams, that the Shield will eventually run out of things to do. It's silly. It's not like the Shield should exist solely on the basis of 6 man tag matches. They didn't need to break up. Right there, you have 3 guys who stand for justice and what better thing than the Authority? They could easily be like the APA, kind of adjusting the odds any time someone is getting f***ed with by the Authority. But since this is WWE, we have to break them up abruptly, show no follow up, and once again come to the conclusion that Hunter wins again.

At least Dean and Roman split amicably (more or less) instead of feuding with each other.

I still would not be surprised if Ziggler became a member, he's been fighting Ambrose a bunch and is apparently booked against Barrett (who Ambrose fought on Raw) for Smackdown.
The fact that they're running so close together suggests at least a temporary alliance.

That Shield break-up really sucked from the beggining. So so disappointing.

I knew this was a bad idea. People say "let it play out"
well I've let it play out -- it f***ing sucks.

I'm not buying Rollins as a guy who can make it on his own.
Of all 3, I think that Ambrose has the brighter future. I just have a hunch.

You would think Reigns would want to end Seth Rollins before he ends The Sheild.

They were feuding with the Authority and people here were constantly complaining about it going on too long. They were feuding -- and basically won (Rollins' heel turn aside) -- against the Authority. That's literally all the main event heels they have though. Triple H, Orton, Wyatt, (Lesnar when he's there)...and that's about it. Cesaro, Barrett, and Del Rio at this point are clearly a below those guys in important, so feuding with them does nothing. I mean we can argue all day they could do some super awesome new three man stable or something, but we're pretty much stuck with this Authority bullshit until who knows when. So knowing Vince and the writers, if we didn't get a Shield break up, we'd be seeing them beat up Fandango or Damien Sandow who's dressed in a Catholic Schoolgirl outfit.

Supposedly (hearing this second hand) they did formally split on a post-show. Ambrose and Reigns decided to go their separate ways and deal with The Authority in the way they each feel is best for them.
