I feel like Sting and Undertaker should have gotten their own episodes. Frigging Jericho and Goldberg got solo episodes. I wish they had done the dueling format with all the other wrestler-centric episodes, as a lot of those episodes seemed less like Monday Night War episodes and more like individual wrestler biographies. They could have paired Goldberg and Austin, Rock and DDP (People's Champions), Sting and Taker, nWo and DX, and how the key differences in handling these characters helped turn around the promotions.

I did get a quick laugh when they went back-to-back with: 1) Sting joining the Wolfpac, and, 2) Undertaker leading the Ministry Of Darkness. Arguably the worst versions of each character.

Sting probably didn't get his own episode since these have been largely finished for presumably a year, and that was long before Sting agreed to terms with WWE to do interviews and whatnot. I'm actually curious about how long these have been ready to go. A lot of the interview footage is from late 2011/early 2012 based on Punk and Bryan's hairstyle/clothes. Once in awhile they'll have a clip more modern, so maybe they just added a few extra things along the way.

Just watching "Building An Army" now, it's actually more about WWF and WCW's mid-cards.
And they're burying the concept of Thunder, and how no-one on top wanted to appear on it.

Enjoyed seeing more mid-card stuff and a little bit about Thunder/Smackdown. I think the B-shows (and C-shows like Heat/Saturday Night/Worldwide/Shotgun) deserved an episode of their own just because we don't hear about them ad nauseum like the other stuff. It'd be tough to get an hour of worthwhile stuff out of that, but I mean, Shotgun started out big and later introduced people to The New Age Outlaws. That's worth noting. Thunder had some moments. Smackdown had PLENTY of moments for the first few years - it was around that A-level for awhile. On second thought, I think with Smackdown alone you could do an episode.
Holding out for WCW Finale/Invasion epilogue/competition is important episode, Russo shenanigans episode, aforementioned B/C show episode, annnndddd....I don't know.

The description for the new episode on Tuesday, which apart from its normal premiere time of 4pm ET will go out at 10pm due to the live SmackDown (Main Event is on at 7pm for the same reason)...
"A controversial group of superstars set out to better sports entertainment and would rely on one another to do so."
As they've done nWo and DX, I think this may be an episode on The Radicalz, which would be a difficult task given that they'd need to bring up Benoit to tell it effectively.

Van Hammer joining was the real turning point in the Monday Night War.

I don't see much new content from The Kliq episode just a fusion of the DX and NWO episodes.

The Kliq is getting their own episode of the Monday Night Wars! I never minded Diesel, HBK, Kid, Razor or even Hunter when they were riding high as the Kliq and I was a kid. I'm now 32 and I'm sick to f***ing death of them. They weren't nearly as good as they attention they get, and HBK is regarded as one of the best ever, and it's still too much attention.

Confirmed now as an episode on The Kliq. I'd laugh my ass off if it was originally an episode on the Radicalz and they were all...shit.

Good first 20 minutes, but it turned into retreads of both the nWo and DX episodes.
Next week is "Mistakes on the Battlefield", about Eric Bischoff and the mistakes he made that led in part to WCW's downfall.

They could have paired Goldberg and Austin, Rock and DDP (People's Champions), Sting and Taker, nWo and DX, and how the key differences in handling these characters helped turn around the promotions. That would've worked out well. Frankly, I think the Goldberg episode was the worst one of the individual episodes, because they don't explain the real reason for why he did the limo stunt (Russo idea, and he didn't want to use a baseball bat), and the explination was that, because he couldn't do a 20-minute match (said by a guy with horrible cardio), he failed as a performer and was a flash-in-the-pan guy. Of course, since the last thing Goldberg ever did with the company was that 2009 interview, they continue the legacy of knocking guys that aren't part of the "family". It would be nice for them to see an InVasion episode, but considering how that was such a huge blunder, even the WWE wants to forget how bad it was. Hell, an all-Thunder episode would be nice, with a brief mentioning on how at this time, WCW kept Thunder while Saturday Night, their longtime program, was quietly dropped.

The Monday Night Wars show, like, at first I thought it was interesting, and WCW f***ed up a lot, but like, it's like I'm watching propaganda films or something. I'm watching a Nitro now from early February of 1996, and the first match is Randy Savage vs Chris Benoit. And one thing I remember from when I was a kid was not getting to watch Nitro and just second run shows, but I was a die hard WWE fan as a kid, so I was like, yeah, Savage and Hogan are old geezers and they can't do anything.
Savage let Benoit just beat him down, and I have heard Kevin Sullivan talk about how Hogan didn't want to work with guys like Benoit due to a styles clash and he wanted to make Hogan feel comfortable that he wasn't gonna get screwed over, but Randy Savage was a whole different animal altogether. He made Benoit look like a title contender in 1996 (and it was a World Title match that ended on a DQ). I'm watching the Nitros to keep up with Sullivan's show "Helluva Deal" where they go through Nitros like this. Savage, despite being older, definitely belonged in the WCW main event picture at that time, despite being poisoned by WWE's Billionaire Ted skits when I was a kid.
But yeah, Sullivan's MLW podcast is great companion piece, and I'mr really noticing what is being said. Sullivan talked about how Hogan didn't seem to have the confidence he once had, at least in those early 1996 shows, and the contrast to Randy Savage who looked like the top guy in the company and wrestled like one too. It's insane how much Sullivan bent over backwards to help Hogan, but at the time, Hogan was a big time merch seller and did help bring WCW to the dance, so it's a tough spot to be in as a booker.
