I would like to get a consensus on this. Worst IC champ ever? I'm watching Saturday Night Main Event in the 80's when Honky Tonk was running as IC champ - My opinion - Worst IC/over rated IC champ ever. Thoughts?

"Yes, please look over there at all the other guys who have been mentioned so far." "Yeah, I agree with this guy."

Road Dogg sucked pretty hard as a singles guy. I don't remember anything about his reign at all.

HTM run some call it the worst because he never had the memorable match. Some call it one of the best because there was a lot of segment moments that did stand out. People hated him and wanted him to loss and people hate it more when he retain the title. He was a great chicken heel. Which in a lot of way was art.
Now Axel and Godfather I say where worst because nothing stood out from that run. The same with Big Zeke. There have been a few talented guys who runs where way to short to have a memory. Example I think Umaga had one run with it that was only a couple weeks old in a forgotten face run.

Road Dogg sucked pretty hard as a singles guy. I don't remember anything about his reign at all. I think the most impressive he was as a singles guy was when he was wearing the hardcore title. But then again, it's hardcore. Lots of crutches to lean on in those kinds of matches.

Road Dogg sucked pretty hard as a singles guy. I don't remember anything about his reign at all. It was pretty short, wasn't it? My vote would go to Billy Gunn, because I remember even less about his reign. At least with Road Dogg, I can remember that WWF switched around which title the two Outlaws were competing for.

Would say Dean Douglas but that wasn't even a reign really. Just needed a warm body to job to Razor that day (g/j Shawn)
Me personally....Marc Mero. God that guy sucked.

The Honky Tonk Man as the worst ever champ? What?
Certainly he wasn't very good in the ring, but that wasn't his role. His entire character was based on somehow weaseling his way into a victory to the ire of fans. From that alone, he helped make the title more prestigious. Granted, the lion's share of that is on the booking; but he was the right performer to plug in there to work with said booking. On the strength of that, he's one of the best.
As far as worst? Probably one of the guys in the Attitude era, when everyone was getting a belt to hold onto for a lil bit, and none of it mattered. Can't really point out anyone specifically, cuz there came a point in time where the reigns just sorta congeal into an amorphous blob of title switches.

I was going to compose a post but you covered pretty much everything I was thinking. Oh apart from one thing, I would add Marc Mero to the list due to my seething hatred for him.
