Instead of making jokes and wishing it would just die already, I legitimately hope TNA can turn it around. So do I.

So losing 100 or so jobs of the wrestling business isn't a bad thing? It's definitely not guaranteed that some other company will rise up to fill the void. Spike might not want another wrestling show and there aren't a ton of companies of TNA's scale.

the only way tna is turning around is if they can find a bigger sugar daddy than Bob, and I'm talking like a 200 million investment.

It sucks people losing jobs but constant incompetence shouldn't be accepted and rewarded.

f***, I wish the big bossman was still alive to give tna a proper eulogy With deepest regrets, and pain in my head I'm sorry to hear your promotion is dead. Your storylines sucked; they made everyone wince. Soon you'll be bought out for pennies by Vince. But if I had an owner as incompetent as you I'd wish for low ratings so my fed could die too. So hold your head high, get your lives back on track. 'Cause TNA's dead and it ain't ever coming back! Ok buddy you get to drag TNA's coffin around the graveyard while Dixie is on top of it.

No, Spike has just given them 4 months to prove they can get their audience to follow them to Wednesdays and show some sort of potential for growth.

Make weird and wrong decisions sometimes definitely, but that's every wrestling company. Personally, I just think the IWC is way too harsh on TNA, and that the LOLTNA movement is killing it more than anything in specific the company has ever done. TNA succeeded back in the day due to people being positive about it, and it's fans fervently spreading the word as well as a WWE audience looking for wrestling elsewhere. Nowadays people just pick at every single thing they do instead of sitting back and enjoying the product. When I actually go out and talk to casual wrestling fans I know I don't hear anything like what I see on the internet. It's generally either positive or general unawareness. There's so little actual discussion of TNA content on these forums nowadays. It's really demoralizing as a fan to come on here and read the TNA boards, cause it just feels like people who hate the company are the ones posting.

I know it may turn into an unwatchable slow death like WCW but at the end of the day, if we're getting a few matches like Joe vs Lowki and Lashley-Hardy/Lashley-Aries it may be worth a a few more months of life.
I just hope the end game is Panda selling the company to Viacom.

Part of it is the fact that people here on FAN like making fun of tna so much, that they make fun of every single aspect of the company. To the point where they make even the good parts sound like utter crap. Tna supplies more than enough material to be ridiculed, but if you check the Impact threads every week, you'd swear that nothing good ever happens. sometimes they aren't even jokes, but guys just saying it sucks at every single moment that happens. I'm not expecting everybody to like tna, but some people are really stretching their pessimism when it comes to news on the negotiations.

TNA is Lindsey Lohan. Every time you think they are about to turn the corner to finally live up to their potential, you find them strung out on coke and flashing vadge in front of the cameras. Who doesn't like vadge? I like vadge. You like everything possible, CATCH_US, you don't count.

There's so little actual discussion of TNA content on these forums nowadays. It's really demoralizing as a fan to come on here and read the TNA boards, cause it just feels like people who hate the company are the ones posting. TNA back in the day almost went out of business because they ran weekly pay per views that bled them dry considering nobody in their right mind was going to pay to see something like that every single week. People pick things apart that they don't like or they think are moronic. Maybe sometimes to an excessive degree, but that's what message boards are about: we take the things we enjoy and discuss them, both the good and the bad aspects. And I'm sure there are plenty of people that will be glad to tell you when they've done something right. For example I recall loving the way they build up Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle at Lockdown back in 2008. And the last Impact I watched was a pretty damn good show (The one with Lashley vs Aries and The Wolves vs The Hardyz) Yes, we're critical of the product, but that's because the product deserves to be criticized. And just because somebody is criticizing something doesn't automatically mean that you aren't allowed to enjoy it yourself. I mean let's face it: we're just a bunch of jerks sitting at home as our keyboards or on our smart phones. Our opinions are not the be-all and end-all of TNA. You shouldn't let other people's opinions cloud your own enjoyment of the product. If you like it, then by all means do so. That said, if something on TNA happens that people consider to be stupid, they should come right out and say it was stupid. And that's on TNA. And for the most part I think most of our opinions are pretty reasonable. You really want to see to people rip this company? There are plenty of other message boards out there who are probably even more critical then we are, and nowhere near as polite about it. Most of us want to enjoy the product. I doubt anybody on here purposely just posts about how much they hate TNA because they like to make fans of the product feel bad. We want TNA to be good just as much as them. But some people see things differently then others, and so it's difficult for our viewpoints to coincide. Honestly I hope TNA does turn it around while they still have a chance. Do I think that will happen? History with them says probably not. But maybe when their backs are against the wall that might push them to make a serious change to product for the better, just like with Vince when the WWE nearly went out of business back in the mid 90's.

After a marathon of bad news, this is at least some form of good news. Probably means TNA has a couple of months to get their crap straight, and stop screwing around with dumb stuff. Hopefully, they learn their lesson and do. I like TNA, just like all of us, and while it's fun as hell to make fun of them, I do hope they survive. Not just to continue to laugh at them, but because it best for wrestling.

My one single concern about TNA going out of business is that there is no guarentee someone will take the No 2 spot in even the same way TNA is right now.
ROH is too niche, CHIKARA is too niche, PWG isn't going to evolve from where it is, CZW is still shaking off its old reputation no matter what it does now and GFW? That'll either be something genuinely different and exciting or in a few months after it starts, we'll be doing LOLGFW feds.
People might look at TNA's death and think there's no point in putting wrestling on TV anymore because nobody's going to come close to WWE's brand recognition and back catalogue. It might be cheaper to stick reruns or low budget productions on instead.
So as much as people like to say 'Someone might fill that spot', there is actually a lot more of a chance that they won't if TNA dies.

I don't want to see talented people out of jobs. Not only will those wrestlers be out of jobs, it will negatively affect WWE as well once The likes of Angle and Jeff go crawling back and get the stupid nostalgia demigod treatment, and you know it will happen. I want to see a promotion rise up as well, but if they become #2, I'd rather it be because they've surpassed TNA in popularity, not by just slipping into that spot by default. TNA slipped into the number 2 spot by default because of their cable tv deal and Panda Energy's money. It wouldn't be that hard to surpass TNA in popularity when a vast majority of non wrestling fans don't know it even exist. Mmmmm what if I tell you that people don't care about wrestling as is today and no matter how you try the old tricks you will not be able to come close to WWE nor beat TNA's popularity. Wrestling needs fundamental changes, like from ground up. Changes so big that it might not be even considered wrestling if your goal is popularity. All those stories like Joe should be the champion instead of Lashely has nothing to do with success, Cena could come to TNA/GFW/ROH/Promotion of your choice and no one would care cause people don't care about wrestling anymore. If they want wrestling or cheap thrill they go and order at WWE and even WWE is struggling so ugly with their own game. If WWE Universe is not profitable in short term future god knows what kind of period awaits us. Another boom period is highly unlikely any time soon until MMA bubble bursts or wrestling goes into performance arts or legitimate sport or something like that.
