Earlier on today I asked Bray about this backstage. He told me, and I quote, that 'I don't want a Jonestown on my hands, it would be detrimental to my career.' Furthermore he went on to state I don't even like Flavor Aid. I hasten to add that our sponsors do not condone murder. Lawler: Mm, I may take a sip! Layfield: Please do! I love it!

Bray's pants are slipping, I know that much.

It's the same thing people said when the gimmick debuted: He's a slasher movie villain who isn't allowed to actually murder anybody. There's only so much you can do with that.

This is why direct action from Bray is completely and totally pointless. If he loses, he looks like an idiot. If his follower loses, it's because the follower is weak-minded and will be reprimanded for failing the leader.

Yes. It started when his hold over Bryan lasted less than 2 weeks (though he did beat Bryan at the PPV). It extended into losing many many times to Cena over the course of their feud and continues with Jericho.
If you're going to build an uber creepy heel, you have to let him be seen as a significant force. He doesn't always have to win, but it shouldn't be so obvious that he'll never beat his opponent really.

Since anything after Cena is a step down anyway, I'd like to see people lower in the ranks STEPPING UP to the Wyatts. Let lesser talents band together to try to stop them only for Bray and his followers to win every time.

Vince wonders why the fans rebel against Cena. I actually like the character of Bray Wyatt. To me, it's a very old school gimmick, he plays it to complete perfection in my opinion, he can also perform in the ring, and the overall concept is an image that the fans appear to enjoy. Why is it the WWE can't let heels be strong for once?
It seems that unless your name is Hunter or Stephanie other heels cannot look strong at all. You more or less saw the same thing with the Nexus feud with Cena, the Kane feud with Cena, and all of which ended with Cena overcoming the odds. When in actuality, those feuds should've corrupted him, and made him lose more of his heroic morality rather than maintaining his goofy shrug everything off character.

I don't think that Bray Wyatt's character ever really had much of a shelf life in the current WWE. His power was inevitably going to diminish the moment Cena beat him, and the fact that Daniel Bryan had him figured out only cut the legs out from the gimmick further. Such a gimmick would have been better served in the 1980s when there were preliminary wrestlers to build it up before he could credibly go after the main event. Alas, nowadays the new stars start at the top and slowly cling by their dewclaws to stay near it.

To further elaborate on what I think they should do, they should indeed have some sort of effect on people, whether that means a match or something else. Have them attack someone out of the blue, have them cost someone a title match for no real reason, have them influence the Authority....just ANYTHING. Having just a feud after an interaction that has no lasting effect on either the Wyatts or who they're feuding with. A last effect to me, is at least taking away something that the other party would want, hence interfere in a match or something. Agreed. Right now it's like they exist in some sort of weird vacuum where they'll f*** with you as long they're feuding with you, but then when it's over, there's a big reset button where whoever they were messing with go right back on their merry way.

Isn't that kinda the case with most wrestling feuds based around a gimmick?
