Nitro started as a two hour show, so I would think 100 hours covers 50 episodes, or about one year worth of shows. Nitro was 1-hour when it started. It expanded to two hours on Memorial Day 1996 (the episode where Scott Hall showed up).

It expanded to two hours on Memorial Day 1996 (the episode where Scott Hall showed up). So that's like 37-38 one hour episodes, leaving 62 hours for two hour shows so we're looking at roughly 68-70 Nitro episodes.

The first 7 months were one-hour editions before expanding when their talent roster expanded to add the Cruiserweight division that was loaded to the brim with great talent..

Had to work late cause of Month End, was really, REALLY hoping I'd come home to find Nitro up and going. Very disappointed.

Have a feeling they'll wait until the debut Nitro airs after RAW, then it all goes up.

The first episode I watched was 3/11/96 for LOD/Steiners, but the rest of the show was pretty good. The main event was Hogan, Savage & Booty Man vs Flair, Arn & Taskmaster in a 6 man lumberjack-strap match. The lumberjacks wore flannel shirts to boot. I don't know if that's stupid or awesome.

Late 996 Nitro is fantastic. Poor Juventud Guerrera though, with everybody calling him Guerrero. So WCW. I remember in that interview Goldberg did for the WCW DVD talking about the cruiser weight division. He starts name dropping wrestlers and mentions Guerrera. Alas they show footage of Eddie....

First episode I decided to watch was August 26, 1996 episode of Nitro, pretty decent show overall featured the debuts of Juvented (against Kidman) and Jericho (against Alex Wright).
A Couple of other moments that stuck out for me -
In the Chavo Jr/Mike Enos match Enos and his Rough and Ready tag partner Dirty Dick Slater try and do the twin switch despite one having short hair and the other having long so the match ends up with Chavo pinning Slater (this a full 3 years before Russo came into the company).
2nd thing that also stuck out was the Rey Mysterio Jr/Mr. JL match getting absolutely no respect - firstly cutting away while the nWo sprayed the trucks in the back and finally setting off the fireworks to welcome us to the second hour of Nitro.

I'm loving going back and watching these old episodes. When I saw the intro, I smiled like an idiot. What I wouldn't give to be able to still watch this show live on Monday night.

I'm so tempted to start watching Nitro, but I really want to watch the RAWs that happen the same week back to back. It's crazy that they're not on the Network yet.

Watched the Eric Bischoff heel turn episode. That came out of nowhere and was pretty underwhelming. Maybe the next episode expands more, I can't really remember.

Some episodes have this exclussive footage in which they show stuff that happened after Nitro went off the air, which I think it is cool. I hope through when we get to the night after Starrcade 1997 Nitro, we get the full Sting / Hogan match.
