If there is one theme or pattern that always occurs and never seems obvious no matter how much it should. That is Jax always does have a plan. I keep thinking with his mayhem vote stuff that there is one last plan in place, but the dude became Clay and did things that he has to answer too. It's sad that the main character, the hero, became what he has. I still wanna be able to cheer for him, but I kinda can;t wait for him to die (if he goes out like Hamlet that is) See was Jax THAT bad though? He lost Tara in an horrible fashion and just lost his way. He was attempting to have the club go in an legitimate fashion and away from the guns, violence, and drugs. It wasn't until Gemma killed Tara that he went into "I don't give a shit." Regardless of reasoning, and he has plenty of "justifiable" reasoning. First with Op and then with Tara. Jax has literally become Clay. He has become everything that he hated, everything he thought was wrong with Samcro Jax hes come to personify. That is the tragedy of the story. And actions have consequences. Jax appears to realize what he has become. He has shades of gray. He was crying after sex, he's deep in thought and unsure. But he's done some seriously messed up stuff this season. Tig has had such depth though beginning with his remorse for killing Donna, and his love for his dog, then that whole Pope storyline with his daughters. Tigs proved his worth as a character and Kim as an actor. It will be sad if he goes out badly. Definitely not saying I don't love Tig, or Coates. Just saying that, in the context of the narrative, if Jax didn't grow up looking up to guys like Clay and to a lesser extent Tig, their lives might have turned out way differently. But then we'd have a really boring show. You know you just reminded me of when they revealed John Teller had a double life and they spent the entire season bashing him to show that he was flawed too and Jax never really cared about that manuscript again. I think that's where Jax began to take his turn down the wrong path. Its always bugged me but it was in line with Hamlet. I always considered the manuscript to represent the Ghost of the king. And Hamlet does question the ghost and stops believing his story for a long time.

Just a head's up, but spoilers for the finale have apparently been leaked. Ya, apparently there was a book about the series set to drop on Wednesday and it contains massive spoilers as it discusses the finale. Well, last Wednesday a bunch of people received their copy early and had the whole thing spoiled on the 1st page of the book. Sutter has confirmed everything, and asked people to direct their anger at him and not publicly vent and risk more people getting spoiled. But be wary on social media etc.

Of course I definitely could be wrong.

Almost time for the Last Ride. The guide says the show lasts from 10:00 to 1:00! Yes, I know that this includes the post-show discussion, but damn! How long is this going to be?

I have mostly avoided the last couple of seasons after I got fed up with the CONSTANT rape and stupid shit like the school shooting, but holy hell that ending was hilarious.

He didn't exactly go out like Hamlet, but they did leave us with Shakespeare.

I think after everything that had happened with Jax's character, that ending was perfect.
And I liked that they didn't need to show the crash itself. They just let you imagine the gore with only small hints as to how bad it was.

Man I am not sure how I feel right now. Perhaps that was the point? This entire season was underwhelming in my opinion. I've been a dedicated fans since day one. Hell take a look at my name and sig. Obviously Jax was gonna go out like that. It's Hamlet, but I expected it to be a little more Hamlety.
There's so much I wanna talk about, but I am gonna have to watch it a second time. Probably catch Afterword as well..
But now I just need to sleep on it. It was either great or disappointing yet. I haven't decided yet.

I thought it was a pretty solid finale to a rather lackluster season. There were some frankly ridiculous moments (Jax ambushing Marks, the final montage going on for so long, and the way-too-quick scene with Boroski), but as a whole I thought it worked. Some scenes were even downright poignant.

It was good but it was hard to top last weeks episode.
I read there was a book that has the deaths of everyone in the final season that leaked early and Sutter is pissed.

Some scenes were even downright poignant. I thought the way he killed Marks was very cool and scary. Sitting on the steps draped in the blanket like the reaper was just "What in the world?" for me. There's no way I could've just walked by that. I can understand the gripe about Boroski's death. I guess Jax at that point realized he was already a dead man walking, had nothing to lose, and didn't have time for talking or reasoning. His reason was tying up any and all loose ends, getting his family away from Charming and the violence, and having the Samcro legacy die with him.

Yeah, with Marks' death, I didn't mean ridiculous in a bad way. It was cool but kind of absurd. Just the image of him suddenly throwing the blanket off and opening fire surprised me so much that I actually laughed when it happened. I wish Boroski's death had been given more lead-up. You have a dude who's been a confidant to Jax for two seasons now suddenly get revealed as a traitor, we don't see him for two episodes, and then he dies the next time we do see him. I understand why Jax wouldn't talk it out with him once he confronted him but the way Sutter handled it within a single scene just kinda' smacked of "oh yeah, we gotta' wrap this up." I mean Connor got more screen time than Boroski did, for god's sake.

The finale didn't really do it for me, then again the final two seasons didn't do it for me. At least it wasn't horrible and there was some closure.
But man oh man, could they not have gotten better CGI for Jax's ride into the truck?

Watched it last night and thought " I loved it but I am sure I will plenty of people bitching about it."
A few episodes back when they showed the rock with Jt's name and date of death on it I had a feeling Jax would go out the same way.
