The Wrestler is kind of dull to me. I think when you have a meth addict mom, it kind of cuts the dramatic tension of "can't get his act together" films. I've seen it all before.

Watchmen. Soooooo boring. I still haven't finished the whole thing. EDIT: 2001 is a masterpiece but good lord bring an energy drink or lots of coffee cause it'll put you to sleep. Took a videography class in high school and had to watch this. I don't think it's a bad film, but MAN I almost went crazy watching that. Never been so restless and just bored watching a movie.

Juno and the Paycock and Number Seventeen, both early Hitchcock films, were chores to watch. I only watched them to be a completist.

I just saw Chef and holy crap that movie was painfully boring. It wasn't funny, it wasn't heartwarming, it was way too predictable, the dialogue was even more predictable, the lack of story was dull, the constant tutorials and product placement of twitter was annoying, and the fact it took an entire hour to get into the food van. It did make hungry a couple of times but dear god what a painful bore! Agree with some of your post though overall it wasn't boring for me. Mainly I wanted to reply to your post to say how tasty that grilled cheese sandwich the chef makes for his son looks.

2001 is a masterpiece but good lord bring an energy drink or lots of coffee cause it'll put you to sleep. That film would have been such a great thing if it was cut shorter. I bet it would have seen much more success too.

The Thin Red Line. I remember seeing that in theaters. I have no memory of it except going to the bathroom too many times.
To the people who mentioned "Watchmen," you are entitled to your own opinion, but I wouldn't doubt if some of the people who didn't like or were bored of it were expecting a "typical" superhero movie.

I actually really loved the movie, but I wanted to reply to your post about that grilled cheese. I felt it was a bit too crisp, took me out of the movie for a second. Either they really enhanced the crunch of that sandwich or I just haven't had a grilled cheese of that quality. Probably the latter.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.
Even if you ignore the fact it has nothing to do with the games, it's still boring.

Although I knew of the source material but had never read it, I knew exactly what type of film it was. The trailers were pretty good at separating it from the normal superhero stuff and I had to suffer the trailer about ten times every day. As you mentioned The Thin Red Line, it reminded me of another Terence Malick film, The New World. It looked amazing and you could see the care put into every solitary frame but it was really boring. It's one of those films I respect more than I enjoy (Citizen Kane, 2001 are others).

With Watchmen, you really sort of had to love the source material, not just know about it. I can definitely see how some felt the way they did.
Monuments Men was a movie so boring I thought about leaving the theater. It was more just disappointing than anything else: Good premise, good cast, good director, it had all the ingredients, but nope.
