As has been mentioned, it shouldn't be a big deal, or any different than say Goldust and Terri 20 years ago. Human attraction will always be part of storytelling, especially very straightforward storytelling like wrestling. And it's okay to acknowledge that people like kissing eachother etc, you can even show it in TVPG. This. If something like that seems to come to the fore naturally, as the two are interacting, then run with it. Like they should have done with Jericho and Steph, way back when. It adds layers of interest and complexity. I'll be honest, I've not watched much of the AJ/Paige feud, so I have no idea if it seems natural, forced or non-existent. But I don't think it's necessarily cheap or tacky (well, it will be, because it's the WWE) to try and raise the stakes with the tension between them. But I think it needs to be done in a character way, rather than, 'OMG! Two girls making out! They might rub up against each other!' Because yeah, if you want to see that, just open up a web browser. From what I can tell, Paige is something of a blank slate, still, and AJ has a history that's getting close to Kane levels of confusion. So both characters could be helped with more focus on the emotional reasons for their enmity/attraction.

At this point I would take a silly feud between them based on something petty. Give me AJ accidentally spilling her soda on Paige or the latter getting the crackers commercial AJ really wanted over this faux-lesbian stuff.

Teasing sexual tension would be okay if either one of them were good enough actors to make it work. AJ is passable, but one of two being "passable" isn't going to make it fly.

We went from Paige trying to kill AJ to the two of them suddenly listing fir each other.

Lol at anyone suggesting that this would be remotely progressive
It would be nothing more than cheap "OMG Lesbians are so hot" titillation targeted at straight males.

Nothing wrong with gay people or seeing their stories on tv. My problem is WWEs ham handed, 12 year old boy execution of them. Knowing that AJ is married and Paige is with someone makes it unbelievable as it is. But aside from that it feels so forced. I liked how they seemed to just be trying to get at each other psychologically; a sort of one-upsmanship of crazy. But it's like someone in creative decided to push it the wrong way.

Why don't we give the Cena/Lesnar feud sexual tension and AJ/Paige can be about German Suplexes?
It's a Switcheroo!

i don;t even see it as sexual tension between them but more of a "i can creep you out more than you can creep me out." mindgames thing, since whenever one of them does something the other gets upset and does something back til whoever started it tops that and skips off to the back.

When asked to comment straight male WWE fans said," YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" Nah, at best for me it's a mild 'whatever' coupled with a shrug.

Exactly. This seems to support that idea best... I feel they could ruin it if they went into a creepy lesbians storyline (the story being creepy, not lesbians )

It would be the funniest thing in recent memory if they do finally go full makeout while the crowd is blowing up with CM Punk chants

Stupid storyline aside, I don't get this line of thinking at all. They're performers playing characters. You don't watch Community and lose your interest when Jeff hooks up with Britta because Joel McHale is married with kids. And if its a weird thing that only applies to wrestling, how do you explain Stardust and Eden/Brandi Rhodes or Rusev and Lana's in-character relationship when they're dating in real life? Characters, man. Even when a story is based on something real like Edge/Lita/Matt, they're still playing fictionalized versions of themselves.

Anything that gets them beyond Paige skipping then AJ skipping then Paige skipping then AJ skipping.
