How could you watch something this ridiculous and not laugh out loud?

I did like Mason Verger, he was an interesting character.
But yeah, making Lecter into a semi-heroic love interest is just.. no. I'm aware Harris did the same, but it was dumb there too.

The TV show, on the other hand, is amazing. Hannibal TV show GIF time you say?

As Wrong Swanson said, the TV show is excellent. To me, Mads Mikkelsen is the definitive Hannibal Lecter. And that's coming from someone that adores SotL. Not to mention how great Hugh Dancy is as Will Graham.

Ever read the book? It's even more wacky and I say this as a man that rereads Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs every few years.

I really have a soft spot for 'Manhunter'. It's the most 80s thing ever produced.

How could you watch something this ridiculous and not laugh out loud? Ever since I can remember, I wanted to eat my own brain.

Only other scene I remember is the one where that guy gets eaten by pigs. That was... weird.

It sucked. Hannibal Lecter works best as a character when he's in prison. That's why Red Dragon is better
Jodie Foster knew it would be bad, and wisely stayed away

It's pretty much all Hogs for me come fall.
