That ending though. Credit where credits due, that was a good job writers. Hope the rest of the season holds up.

That actor really nailed the Ledger interpretation. The laugh, the speech patterns, the walk, the surprising premature death.

This is kinda what we've all been asking for, right?
The show has been on the nose with everything and here they finally pulled one over on us. Granted, it was at the expense of one of the best characters on the show.

On the plus side, this probably means Barbara isn't going to ruin Harley Quinn for anyone. Plus, I have to admit... didn't see it coming, but kinda glad I didn't.
Now, the Selena/Bruce foreshadowing fairy can bugger right off...

So, I assume Jerome is dead because Gordon showed up, right? If there wasn't an aimed gun ready to shoot Jerome the moment the opportunity showed itself, Theo would have most likely disarmed J, held him at gunpoint, and then maybe "locked" J and Barb into the glass box only for them to "Ta-Da" themselves away. However, with Gordon there, Theo realized that J had a very good chance of getting shot by either the cop or the butler and moved to kill him so he could have all the credit himself.
...Or am I over-analyzing this stuff again?
Also, I thought Alfred knew about Gordon/Lea and was just macking in front of James like a boss.

I am pretty excited about Michael Chiklis joining the show next week. He is a perfect fit for Gotham City, especially if he is a hardass like he was on The Shield. I agree with what everyone has said about Barbara. I hope they kill her off by seasons end.

I honestly hoped Gordon or Bruce would figure out that Theo was clearly full of shit with his horrible acting job.

Jerome was too awesome. Bad booking to have him go out so soon in my opinion.

Now, the Selena/Bruce foreshadowing fairy can bugger right off... They've already killed off my favorite part of the show. If they turn that woman into Harley, I'm done.

I get that they just killed off one of their best characters, but why are people so mad? The first 3 episodes have been fantastic. Completely epic, finale-quality craziness, action, bloodshed, twists, etc. If anything, right now people should be praising them. IF there is a drop-off after Jerome is gone, then complain. But give them their due, if anyone had any reason to watch the first 3 episodes of this season, they're hooked right now.
I especially liked the ending segments with Harvey/Penguin and what they did with Jerome's death. Really nice touches.

k, slept on it. Somehow more pissed than last night. I think I am too. Instead of the Joker being this symbol of pure, original chaos he's basically copying Jerome? Sorry but that's bullshit. Also I felt like Leela in that episode of futurama, "A magician?"

If only there was a Batman character capable of bringing people back from the dead. Perhaps with some sort of a pit...

I liked this episode. I also think the show has hit its stride. Three good episodes in a row that top any three consecutive episodes in the first season is a good sign.

Well, it was a bit of a step down from last week's episode (But how do you really top that third act?), but still really, really good. {Spoiler}The idea that Jerome wasn't The Joker but rather a guy who opened the door to madness is a bit interesting. The only thing that bugs me is that they clearly were trying to benefit from the Joker/Harley dynamic with Jerome and Barbara, despite the fact that they obviously were not Joker and Harley. So when the real Joker finally comes around (if he ever does), he'll seem like a knockoff of some generic character created for the show.

If only there was a Batman character capable of bringing people back from the dead. Perhaps with some sort of a pit... I guess taking extra time to get there could theoretically explain a pale complexion...
