They're not actually splitting the Family up, they're just gonna' be focusing on Harper as a singles guy. If the Wyatts were breaking up then Bray wouldn't have done the majority of the talking in the promo vid. So why have Bray time and again talk about letting Harper go free now and then show Harper leaving Bray? They have split, they just put the bare minimum into explaining it.

I wouldn't be so sure about the canonicity of post-TV taping segments. They just probably sent out the Wyatts as cannon fodder to have the faces stand tall to send the live fans home happy.

Well I suppose we won't know either way until next week, but I strongly doubt they'll remove Harper from the group entirely. They'll probably do like they currently do with him and Rowan - he'll have a separate entrance that's similar to Bray's and occasionally join him in group beatdowns.

I will say that when he was endorsing Dean Ambrose, it was almost like the kiss of death. So... what's the solution, then? He can't feud with anybody, since he apparently kills their heat. He can't team with anybody, since he apparently kills their heat. It'd be COLOSSALLY STUPID to fire the guy since he's your top merch draw by the length of the galaxy. Really, what do you do with a "problem" like John Cena, because I don't think it's just as simply fixed with a heel turn or dropping a few more regular losses.

Use him as a special attraction ala Taker or HHH. You can still keep him on TV through any number of means but limit the actual amount of matches he has in a given year. That way he doesn't plow through the entire heel roster, WWE doesn't lose merch money, and Cena gets some well-needed rest so that he won't have to be put down like a crippled horse before he hits 45.

Ambrose is taking off in popularity because he's the polar opposite of John Cena, so having Cena then endorse him just annoys the Ambrose fans because they hate Cena. Imagine you're 15 and you become a fan of a rising underground rock band. Then a few months later, your mom finds out about them and starts talking about how cool they are. That's what Cena is to the adult male audience. He's their mother trying to act cool.

The whole feud with Cena would not have damaged Bray as much if they at least made it out like Cena struggled to beat them. But after months of epic build they made Bray and company look like a bunch of chumps.

Splitting the Wyatts up is a fast track to making Bray a JTTS, Rowan a Superstars mainstay, and Harper an absolute mega star.

I'll be honest, Rowan is dead weight. I don't mind this direction at all. It may be the shot in the arm they need. Addition by subtraction.

I think they'll still be good but Harper is going the singles route for a bit. They'll still be connected. How I see it. Harper's been unleashed to go spread the good Bray's word in his own way. It freshens things up and opens more doors for them because, frankly, they weren't recovering from the speed bumps as a unit and there's only so many ways any matches they had could go, since they worked as a swarm. There was no such thing as a one-on-one with Bray, even when cages were factored in, and was getting repetitive.

I was really hoping that their absence recently was a way to bring them back as fresh and exciting once more and I think the promo tonight accomplished it.

If it's the case where Harper goes off on his own, but Bray keeps Rowan as his heavy or even replaces Harper, it could work. As far as Bray goes, anyway.
I honestly don't see much for Harper other than being built to be fed to Cena.

He may not be as a good a worker as Harper, but Rowan has more than held his end in the Wyatt Family matches. Harper wasn't having those great matches with the Usos alone.

And frankly speaking, when Luke finally does break away from Bray, the WWE won't waste any time having them feud it out. They love breakup feuds. No reason for them to all of a sudden not do one here.

I will say that when he was endorsing Dean Ambrose, it was almost like the kiss of death. Whenever he does that, it feels so disingenuous. I remember getting the douchiest of douche chills when he did the FEED ME MORE chant leading up to HIAC a couple of years ago. Tonight was the same thing with the AMBROSE chant. He does it in this sarcastic voice where it sounds like he's mocking the chant. The ol' Cena endorsement has never helped anyone, if anything it hurts because of how he's perceived by the audience. If he really wanted to help elevate new talent, Cena would stay out of the way until it was time for him to work a program with them, and lose. But I don't think he wants to, I think Cena wants to protect his spot and ride that gravy train until it comes off the tracks completely. I'm not saying that's the worst mentality to have, it's bad for the product but he's looking out for number 1, it's not at all uncommon. But so many seem to think that Cena's this really swell fella who just keeps getting booked on top against his will or something, and I find that naive. He's got a say in what he does, and he makes a lot of talent look awful when he feuds with them, the last however many years are littered with evidence of that. I just can't wait until people stop buying his merch, because that's the only thing keeping him on top. His crowd reactions are already dying (this will be disputed, but it's happening, pay close attention over the next few shows), when the shirts and wrist bands stop selling the Cenation will come crashing down and it will feel amazing inside, brother.

So, what happens to Rowan now? Lost to midcard hell? He goes full sheep and joins the stable of El Torito, The Bunny and The Gator.
