The Jedi With the exception of Luke Skywalker, they are completely useless. Obi-Wan Kenobi got stuff done. OT Obi-Wan perhaps PT Obi-Wan was clueless

Majik - Illyana Rasputin I dislike her because even in a world of mutant x-men she makes no sense power wise or even as a mutant. Why is she now able to go toe to toe with Dormammu? Since when is magic a mutant power? On the whole anytime the x-men are involved with the mystical side of the marvel universe its usually pretty bad.(juggernaut being the exception) Majik: Terrible character with undefined limitations. Not a fan of Colossus either. Magik's mutant power is teleportation, not magic. She was kidnapped to a Limbo dimension when she was very young by the demon Belasco. Time works different there and she had, effectively, several years of training in magic, so it kind of, sort of makes sense, at least in a comic book way.

Ana Lucia on LOST. I looked at them cast her (she had just been the "it" girl of the moment) and I thought it was a sign they were sling out. She was bitchy, unlikable, unrelatable, unhelpful, unwilling to compromise and all around unwanted. When her curtain call came I stood up and cheered as though my favorite team had won it all. On the other side of the coin, I agreed with you at first but started to like her, actually. THEN, I HATED Michael for what he did (and moreso with Libby, as I felt bad for Hurley as a result)

Hal Jordan. He's just come to represent everything I hate about modern DC comics and they're obsession with returning everything back to the status quo of 1978 or whenever Geoff Johns was a kid. So what's the excuse of the New 52, which takes the status quo to not only the 90s, but Image, apparently?

Bumblebee. I hate him so much, I was so disappointed when he WASNT executed in Dark of the Moon. This. And the voiceless gimmick got old real fast, as did most things about Bayformers. TF: Prime did the gimmick much better AND had a payoff in the end. Plus he is yet another murdering Autobot, which just isn't right. G1 Bee, however, remains one of my favorite characters, and I loved the toy! I think I got like 2-3 G1 versions, then I had to get the G2 one, and now I have the Japanese show-accurate face version at my work desk.

Since when is magic a mutant power? Since the Scarlet Witch, I'd guess.

So what's the excuse of the New 52, which takes the status quo to not only the 90s, but Image, apparently? Comparing the Nu52 to 90's Image is such an insult against 90's Image. As horrible as it was at certain times (hell, most times), 90's Image was loaded with imagination. They were trying to give the pop culture of the era something genuinely new and different to call their own. They failed miserably, but they were trying. All DC has done in the last ten years is take old ideas from their so-called silver age "glory days" and paint a shiny new coat onto them. And the Nu52 barely affected Green Lantern, so I feel safe in saying that he's still stuck in Geoff Johns 70's childhood.

Mistake with Libby. I understand his motivation utterly and don't fault him one bit. When a parent says they will so anything for their kids, the depth of that statement is not understood unless you have been a parent and stood in those shoes

Since when is magic a mutant power? Since the Scarlet Witch, I'd guess. [Comic book nerd glasses on] But Scarlet Witch has reality-altering mutant powers she was born with, not actual magic as her power, although she has been trained in and uses some magic on occasion. Magic isn't a superpower, it's a tool which anyone, in theory, through training can use. So it's not really the same, even if it's similar. [/Comic book ner glasses off]
